Reception appearance deceptive. Upstairs, very dated and unclean. Rooms are without proper air conditioning, and carpets look old and dirty . Strange rules about coming downstairs each time to receive guests and take upstairs . Very inconveniencing. Also, room service is limited to very few items, and the restaurant downstairs doesn't serve their menu items to the rooms, so again, you have to come downstairs . Finally, complimentary breakfast can not be served in the rooms, even at a cost for tray service . Everybody must come downstairs for it .

I was not expecting to face so many problems with the adaptors/plugs to charge my devices. The rooms are very limited to the options and the hotel did not have adaptors my first night and they basically just said “sorry 🥲”. On the second, I had 0% on my computer and told them I was in a very uncomfortable situation, as I had work meetings. This was solved but I don’t think this is something I should have gone through.

It is very close to Rosebank mall - 5min walking, which is perfect. And I understood that the hotel offers a shuttle every hour to the mall, although I did not use it. The breakfast is really good ! The lobby is beautiful.

Shower handle was problematic so couldn’t get properly hot water even though the weather was quite cold. Also the heater function on the air conditioner in the room didnt work properly so it was quite cold at night

The breakfast service could improve, the food was bland and table condiments were not up to my expectation, the tv in the room was too old, bathroom too small for two people.

Fruit and yoghurt mix is very dry and not appetizing. I spoke to the manager who promised to address with the chef, but nothing came of it by Saturday when we left. You can't offer these items and exclude tinned fruit with sauce to make the mix palatable and easy to eat. Please benchmark with SS Sandton in this regard . Secondly, the waiters are not proactive, leaving used tables unattended far too long. Numerous visitors struggled to find clean tables, and so we got fed up...but they are lethargic in their mannerisms. Cleaners are friendly and collaborative. We decided to use Sandton branch in the future...due to issues mentioned above.

Reception area is amazing and Reception staff are great and friendly.

Staff knocked every morning between 8 and 9 to collect towels, most of the time that was what woke us.

That the rooms are not soundproof and I could hear sexual activity and conversations next room..This traumatised me for 30 minutes each night. I can not unhear the sex that went on next room..

I didn't like on of the waitresses whose name is Zanele, the lady had bas attitude towards us during breakfast on both days we ate there, we literally had to beg her for her services and she was just giving us attitude and telling us to go get things ourselves. When you call her she will ignore you and just shows you how annoying you are..Over all rest of the staff were great , beautiful receptionist who were very helpful during our stay and awesome cleaner that made sure that are rooms were clean and fresh all the time.

I liked that it's close to most of entertainment areas and the mall..mostly I loved your breakfast good variety.
