The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Beautifully decorated. The hotel had recently been updated and it was very nicely done. Extremely helpful staff members;

This property is in a great location. Our room large offering plenty of space for my morning yoga’s routine. We enjoyed all the facilities the props had to offer and there were plenty of them! Pool, spa x2, steam room and sauna. Breakfast was delicious and great service. All the staff were friendly yet efficient. I would highly recommend staying at Ambleside Salutation if you are visiting the Lakes District. We loved our stay here!

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... Room was fantastic - the Spa was good and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Warm hospitality by the owners, Paul and Rachel. Thoughtful sumptuous breakfast. Spacious room with a great river and pasture view. Comfortable bed. Lots of trees and flowering plants in its 5-acre property. Our 3-night stay was very heavenly and relaxing. Pleasureable walking experience from village to village. Highly recommended for a 3~ 5 day Lake District experience.

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. I loved my vegetarian breakfast. Was delicious. I loved the peace I felt here after busy days of sightseeing. I felt so at home here. Everything exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again..

St John's Lodge is an award-winning guest house situated between Windermere village and the Lake at Bowness Bay. The breakfast was excellent lots of gluten free options. Rich the host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District . He always had time for you to chat about the best restaurants etc .Very enjoyable stay definitely stay again. Rooms very comfortable clean . The place is situated in a perfect spot right in the middle of Windermere.
