Looking for properties near Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport?

A pleasant place to feel the local vibes. People are very friendly and ready to help only almost no one speaks English 🙂. Il Gabbiano Bar Gelateria has stolen our hearts) Very authentic, a good place to watch the local life. Cornetti con crema di limone were absolutely perfect. Try once and you will never forget them.

The accommodation is a bedroom and bathroom in a 10 story apartment block and is not a standard B&B. Locating the place is a nightmare and the photo of Bari Palese does not in any way reflect what the building actually is. Also the photos of our room showed a sofa, storage space, table and chairs etc. This is not the room we ended up in. I would strongly suggest that you reclassify this accommodation as it's very misleading. Also the owner tried to pressurize me into giving a rating of 10 on your website. I can not believe that you have given a rating of 8.3 and 3***. On reading other reviews, numerous people have complained and some have been locked out and other guests are victims of double bookings We also had some angry exchanges with the owner by telephone when trying to locate the accommodation. He did not want to entertain us in conversation and referred us to Google Maps. Basically saying to us He had our money and could not give a damn whether we found it or not. It was a stressful experience and you, Booking.com are partly responsible for that

The self check-in was very complicated.The room had its own bathroom and balcony but share a corridor with a fridge with another 2 rooms.We received the wrong room.We booked a room with a double bed and a sofa and received a room with only a double bed.We asked the manager to book us for 6 AM shuttle for the airport and we were waiting in front of the building for more than 20 min and when the shuttle didn’t show up we just stopped a car and bagged fora ride to the airport that cost us 50 euros.We chose this lodging mainly for the reason it was listed with a shuttle to the airport.We wouldn’t recommend this place but if you’ll choose we wish you good luck.

We actually stayed in the historical part of Bari & loved it near the water and lots of restaurants. We only came in by airport & left by airport in Bari Palese area. We traveled around to several destinations in Bari area for 10 days by bus & train with our 2 roller carry on's & a backpack each. Visited Alberobello, Matera & Leece. Our favorite was Bari historical I think; although Matera is pretty amazing too and Alberobello is an easy bus ride for an afternoon. Leece, I liked least.

We visited the city on our last day before returning. It was surprisingly very enjoyable. Many small cafe's and shops to see, the old historical buildings were great. We would have loved to have done one or two of the sea boat trips but unfortunately time was a factor.

Look I only stayed there for a couple nights, this was a BIG mistake. Next trip I plan on minimum 1 week. Beach was only 600 meters down the road and I just never made it to the waters edge. The train was just under 10mins walk away. This was very convenient for going into Bari Central. Overall it's a lovely place that I wish I could've seen more of. Bus stop was two doors down from our stay too. Definitely will like to visit again at a relaxed pace.
