This full-day hiking tour will allow you to discover the scenic outdoor beauty of São Miguel with a guide. After a convenient hotel pickup, you’ll travel to the civil parish of Faial da Terra to start your hike. Led by your guide, you’ll walk along the river and past forests, orchards, wooden bridges and traditional houses. You'll then reach the Salto do Prego waterfall. There will be time to stop and admire the views, and you'll be treated to a picnic lunch.
Next, you'll visit Sanguinho, a quaint rural village that was inhibited for 100 years and was then abandoned in the 1970s. These days, it’s being rejuvenated to restore its old charm. You'll get a chance to explore the village, and before the tour finishes, you’ll visit a final viewpoint – Pico dos Bodes.
