We have been to Kamala many times, mostly has a nice small town vibe but is still quite large with plenty of food options, and is only a 20min drive to patong. This accom checked a lot of boxes: - Excellent value - Modern style 2 bed & 2 bath app was approx AUD$110 per night + $8.50 power & water - Close to beach & main tourist street but set back a little bit to be quiet enough - Pool was good enough had shade and sun lounges. - Restaurant on site served Thai and foreign options - Pizza was very good, thin base and woodfired oven - Easy walk to supermarkets & local food places - Short scooter or drive to more out of way food plaes in the village.
