The beautiful lodge and the fabulous staff. The food was Michelin star like and great presentation. Our tracker, guide Stuart was outstanding with his tracking and hospitality. We saw the Big 5 plus more.

Located within the Madikwe Game Reserve, Last Word Madikwe features a lush garden, terrace and outdoor pool. The malaria free reserve features the Big 5, a variety of wildlife and birds.

Well maintained, quiet, and peaceful. There’s also lots of old charm. The staff, without exception, was great. The Last Word is especially excellent for viewing the animals because of a wildlife “hide” adjacent to a pond just past the perimeter of the property. The pond is an essential source of water for so many of the animals, especially given the lack of rainfall recently. There was a continual parade of wildlife, not just at dusk and dawn, but during broad daylight. The pond is also easily visible while eating any of the meals, which we all had outside.

Amazing experience. Very intimate small lodge with an authentic feel. Food was superb. Staff and service were wonderful. Twice daily game drives were incredible. Our ranger was very knowledgeable and worked hard to make sure we had the best experience and were lucky to see all the Mag 7 the park has to offer. You will not be disappointed!

Madikwe Hills is set on a hill in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, home to the Big Five game and to the rare Wild Dog. The camp features a wellness spa, library and a curio shop.

Madikwe Hills was perfect. The quality of the food was very high - and they provided many options. Breakfast and lunch were delicious and dinner was next level. The quality of the house wine was good, and there were many, many options. The service was welcoming and exceptional, from start to finish. The Game drives were also good, and ranged from peaceful and educational, to downright thrilling. Trucks were comfortable, and ponchos and blankets provided as needed.

Featuring a restaurant that includes outdoor dining by a Boma bonfire, Rhulani Safari Lodge in the Big 5 Madikwe Game Reserve also offers wildlife viewing opportunities.

Simply perfect! Everything was great - the staff was so nice and friendly, room was astonishingly good (, all the food was excellent, many ammenities, beautiful hotel and the routine, ah, we will miss the routine - 2 very long and pleasant game drives per day, during which we were fortunate enough to see the main / most wanted animals; our ranger was very good in the explanations too, and complemented our views.

The staff and accommodations were excellent. Our bungalows overlooked the park and provided exceptional views. The meals were quite outstanding considering the location and accessibility. The wines were excellent and eating out on the patio in the evenings was just wonderful. The fact that this lodge is owned and managed by a nearby community made it all the better as we knew we were supporting a cooperative that supported its community.

The lobby was very comfortable, the food was delicious, also the variaty of the food and quantity was beyond all expactation. The stuff were extremely nice and liable and gave us a great feeling all the time, during our stay.
