The property is absolutely beautiful and relaxing, incorporating the local environment and culture. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The traditional Sri Lankan food was wonderful. All around a fantastic experience, we will be back. Thank you!

I will tell anyone coming to Sri Lanka - stay with Ravi at Margosa Mountain Villa. Best stay on our trip and top 5 lifetime. Stunning setting. Perfect room. Delicious food -organic rice, fruit, fish etc. right from the property, expertly cooked by Ravi’s wife Sewwandi. Pool is sublime. Birds galore (and easy to find and ID with Ravi’s help). Booked for two days. Stayed for 4. Great spot for excursions Dambulla, Sigiriya, and beyond, but we were happy just to relax and meditate on our good fortune to be there. Ravi spent 23 years as tour guide and it shows both in his care and expertise. I know this review sounds like a plug from one of his friends but I promise that 5 days ago we’d never met. But, yes, we have definitely made a new friend. Stay as long as you can.

This place is a rare find in Sri Lanka. Trust the pictures, it is everything that is shown and more. The green view from the coziest terrace is so vivid, it was eye popping. Great breakfasts and hospitality. The owner is a man of many talents.

This is a great stop of for visiting the nearby safari. Everything was great. A real family atmosphere where everyone tries to make your stay as memorable as possible. They arranged a Valentines surprise for us, a cooking course which was incredible and thorough and also a great safari. Lovely big cool room too. Wonderful value too.

‘Friendly owner Shan.so helpful and took us on early morning safari! He also organized transport for us which worked out great. An Amazing Cottages are clean, location is great for a pit stop before or after a safari.then thanks for everything!

This property was exactly what was needed after a long haul flight. A peaceful sanctuary with a team who went over and beyond to ensure our comfort. The setting is just beautiful and is the perfect ambience to adjust and reset. The pool was the perfect temperature too. The Spice Garden is beautiful and make sure to do the complimentary your with the guide (who is a fountain of knowledge). We learnt so much and he was brilliant with our four year old. Seeing her excited over plants and spices was so special! Food was delicious and they accommodated our needs very well including a gluten free diet. The staff went over and beyond to accommodate us, even setting up dinner on our terrace at the last minute when our daughter had fallen asleep just before we weee due to go to the restaurant. I couldn’t recommend this place more for its warm hospitality and beautiful setting.

We had an amazing 11 days stay here :) Spacious, clean, sunny, great breakfast and great value for money, big kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing hosts! Super helpful and communicative. We didn’t feel like guests or tourists in the town, we felt as if this was our home, it was nice for us to be in a neighborhood with locals as well, so it was perfect for a long terms stay. The bedroom was very comfortable, there was AC but we switched mostly to using the ceiling fans because they were so strong and effective :) It’s Close to the train station (we had a perfect day trip to Galle and we took the train) and also close to bus stops. There is a quiet beach just a few minutes away, feels like our own private beach, we didn’t see other tourists there, there’s a relaxed restaurant too for any meal or drink you may want. although the waves seemed strong so we didn’t go in the water. Very short Tuktuk ride to Weligama, also close to mirissa, and we also enjoyed riding to madiha as well. The breakfasts were so good! Best value for money, perfect mix of super authentic Sri Lankan food and western staples (there were always eggs). we loved the fun cakes!! And enjoyed trying the foods we didn’t see at restaurants. We were super lucky we were the only guests there, so we had a perfect stay. The villa is a really good option for a group, or a family, because the kitchen and couch and balcony are technically common-shared with the other guests. Also a good choice if you are renting a Tuktuk or motorcycle because you will have the driveway or front yard to park it.

It was simply amazing from the beginning to the end! An experience like no other 😃. My friend and I were upgraded and had wonderful sea views and enjoyed watching the surfers. All staff were professional and friendly and went out of their way to provide the best experience ever! We fell in love with the adorable Kiki the local hotel dog. Franzi was incredible and added a personal touch to your stay and always had a smile on her face. I have stayed in many hotels over my years of traveling and this hotel is simply THE BEST!

Simply stunningly beautiful hotel set in acres of farm land. Such a fabulous place to relax and unwind. Loved the farm tour, so interesting, and the pool was wonderful. Delicious food and incredible staff!

Amazing, the hosts were so lovely! The property is clean and inviting, the breakfast was superb! One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! They have a local tuk tuk driver that you can call from reception, the property is in walking distance to the town.
