United StatesVery convenient place and easy to get to from the airport. Friendly staff and very flexible to accommodate my needs. The room and the bathroom were clean. Nicer bed compared to a shares room. The hotel has improved a lot from my last visit years ago. Very convenient with the restaurant access for food as well

The surroundings of Katunayake is semi urban and semi rural in nature. Traffic is normal and no major conjestions on highways. Majority people commute to Colombo for work. Markets and convenient stores are nearby. Mobility and services are readily available. Good place for relaxation and holidaying.

My friend and I had a very comfortable stay here. The room had all the details covered and was exceptionally clean. The host went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. It was one of the nicest rooms on our six week trip.

Cosy charming place close to the airport, perfect to settle down after arrival or before departure. Hosts are lovely people who take care of everything and cook nice dinners. The pool is set in a lovely green garden, next to the river. It's quiet and comfy! You can easily visit Colombo from here. We would stay here again anytime!

We had a truly lovely stay at this cozy homestay.
The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. What made the experience even more special were the two lovely elderly hosts such kind, gracious, and welcoming people. They made us feel right at home, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and sharing little conversations that added a personal touch to the stay. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality. We are very grateful for the warmth and care they showed throughout our visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and heartwarming stay.

Very Disappointing Experience Not Recommended
Very Disappointing Experience Not Recommended
I had a very bad experience with this hotel. When I made the booking through Booking.com, the price shown was different. However, after arriving, they charged additional amounts that were not clearly mentioned at the time of booking.
Even after checking into the room, staff came and asked for extra payments (around LKR 1,000+), which felt very unprofessional and misleading. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and gives the impression of a scam.
Additionally, the service was poor. The evening staff member did not communicate properly and lacked basic customer service skills. It was uncomfortable dealing with someone who doesn’t know how to speak respectfully to guests.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. If you are looking for a comfortable and trustworthy place, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. Kings gate transit hotel katunayake

The hotel was situated in a very peaceful environment, which was very suitable for refreshing rest. The most important thing is the airport pickup, which removed us from the hassle of arranging our own transportation. Overall, I would say that it was a superb place and would highly recommend the hotel.
