We recently stayed at Samadhi Lagoon Villa for 3 days, and it was a truly peaceful and memorable experience for our family. The villa is beautifully situated, offering breathtaking lagoon views that create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully designed, combining both comfort and elegance. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was fresh and delicious, with a delightful variety of local dishes. We also enjoyed a wonderful kayak boat ride on the lagoon, which added to the charm of the serene environment. Waking up to the sounds of nature and watching the sunset over the lagoon was truly magical, providing an ideal setting for meditation.

The ambiance of this hotel is amazing. The rooms are very clean and nice. The food is very good but what is best about this accommodation are the people that work here. Everyone is very kind and helpful. They really think along and loved the phrase of the host “ This is your holiday, you should relax”. Bonuspoints for the nice safari we had this morning :)

Everything was great, an amazing location in the middle of the forest, with a lovely village nearby. The host was wonderful, and all the staff were super friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

I will tell anyone coming to Sri Lanka - stay with Ravi at Margosa Mountain Villa. Best stay on our trip and top 5 lifetime. Stunning setting. Perfect room. Delicious food -organic rice, fruit, fish etc. right from the property, expertly cooked by Ravi’s wife Sewwandi. Pool is sublime. Birds galore (and easy to find and ID with Ravi’s help). Booked for two days. Stayed for 4. Great spot for excursions Dambulla, Sigiriya, and beyond, but we were happy just to relax and meditate on our good fortune to be there. Ravi spent 23 years as tour guide and it shows both in his care and expertise. I know this review sounds like a plug from one of his friends but I promise that 5 days ago we’d never met. But, yes, we have definitely made a new friend. Stay as long as you can.

Such a stunning property, everything was immaculate. Tucked down a quiet road, but still very close to the main town road. The hosts are amazing and you can tell they poured a lot of love into the villa. We loved our stay and will be back

I went here so that I could visit the nearby tropical rainforest, Sinharaja. It is very much remote, on the edge of a rice paddy. The owner and his wife are terrific -- he leads tours of the forest (I actually went with his brother, who spotted creatures that I would have never seen), and his wife cooked a delicious meal. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. My only regret is not having had the time to spend a second night there and do the night tour of the jungle.

We stayed in the double room with a pool view, a beautiful room. When I saw pictures online of the outdoor bathroom I saw sold! The restaurant onsite has great food and a very full buffet breakfast. The location is good also, close enough to Udawalawe junction (10 min walk). We did a full day safari tour with Gayan and it has been the highlight of this trip so far. He is a very knowledgeable guide and was very patient with all of my picture taking. Ask for him when you book your tour, you won't be disappointed!

The best hotel in Hikkaduwa! Great location, the manager really helped with every request, and the stuff was lovely.

Location is great, short walking distance to everything but also quiet and peaceful villa. Lovely staff and amazing breakfast! Helped us arrange transfer and massage too:)

The team was very welcoming. Breakfast was good, dinner was excellent. Our safari was excellent. The driver was very kind and good at spotting birds and animals, thank you very much for everything!!
