Amazing stay – highly recommended! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay — always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a good variety of options. I would like to thank our host Franzi, Kiki and the rest of the team for treating us with the upmost respect and kindness. The wonderful staff was very attentive and made everyone feel at home at all times. Everything has been taken care of from the day we arrived to when we left. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of varieties. Everything was freshly made with passion and love. Franzi would occasionally give us a ride with the tuktuk when going out, or in need of a quick transport. Her driving skills are simply unmatched and deserves mentioning. The days felt nice and long as the property offers a safe space to retreat from the busy, chaotic roads further south, making you enjoy every second at the property more. Stunning views from all corners into the vast ocean with unforgettable sunsets leave you speechless. Our trip through SriLanka was rapidly transformed from an adventurous busy holiday to a perfect relaxing safe space with direct access to the beach. Leaving this place makes me extremely sad but I am hoping to return soon again to spend some more quality time with the wonderful people I’ve met here, and can call friends. They have made our stay unforgettable. Much love xoxo

The rooms were exactly like the photos, super clean and comfy. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even nicer. We had an extended stay at the Lum Residence and can readily recommend the property. We loved our room, which had all the right amenities and shelving, the pool, and that there was an on-site restaurant. We loved the location of the property, approximately 700 metres from Kabalana Beach and nearby eateries and coffee shops, and a short walk (15-25 minutes) or tuk-tuk ride into Ahangama Centre.

It’s a beautiful historic property in a great location. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant is quite good. The rooms have been so thoughtfully decorated. We loved the grounds of the hotel, with so many beautiful trees, watching the monkeys.

Had a fantastic two-night stay at Cinnamon Bay Beruwala with my family and absolutely loved it! Right off the bat, the porters were incredibly friendly and efficient with our luggage. The check-in process was smooth and quick, although they didn't accept American Express. No biggie, though; I had other cards. The 3 Superior rooms we booked were super spacious, with all the listed amenities on booking.com. Happy with that! We also opted for rooms with breakfast included, served at the "Büfe" restaurant. The spread was packed with various delicious Sri Lankan dishes and didn't repeat over the days. One thing, though, the place had quite a few flies and some cats wandering around, which might bother some. For lunch and dinner, we decided to dine at Büfe as well, and we were pleasantly surprised by the affordability (keep in mind, I'm comparing it to Swiss prices!). For five adults, our total for one lunch and two dinner buffets came to around CHF 300. Great value! In-room dining service available 24/7 via phone was a plus. Orders were delivered from their Ice Restaurant, which you could also visit. There's a designated smoking area, and I noticed folks respected this, making it comfortable for everyone else. They also had a beautiful swimming pool and a separate kids' pool with a play area - a bonus for families like us. Kudos to the housekeeping, reception, and porter staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay! The beach, directly accessible from the hotel, was mostly clean, though a bit rocky, and had some glass pieces. Just be a bit cautious with kids. Our stay started with a welcome drink - a lovely gesture that set the tone for our fantastic stay. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and it couldn’t have been any better. The service was exceptional - Dulara, our personal assistant was there at any moment for any request but what made him so good was his ability to work around our days and initiative to understand what we wanted before we even asked. Hope his management understands how good he is as an employee and highly recommend any guest to ask for him when staying there in the future. The rooms were spacious and so close to the beach with amazing views of the coastline. The infinity pool was exceptional positioned right on the cliff overlooking the ocean. The main thing I can’t get over was the food, it was incredible. Every dish, breakfast or dinner was next level, extremely fresh and amazingly tasteful. I can’t wait to come back - Sri Lanka is amazing but this place is special

The room was just beauuuuuuuuutifullllllllllll! the design and finish is so amazing. Such a nice color palette for the room we absolutely loved it. The staff is soooooooo warm and welcoming. The initial welcome felt like we were royalty. They handed us some local sweets followed by wet towels and welcome drinks. The staff engaged with us with a lot of warmth. The value for money is excellent. The breakfast lay out is beautiful with good taste and a huge variety. The resort design is amazing with a lot of local and Dutch design elements. The pools were warm and felt just right. Overall we really really enjoyed our stay there.

Loved my stay here. Good vibe in rooms, comfortable bed, absolutely loved the Aqua deluxe room which had an amazing sea view. Amazing hotel in bentota. There are two pools and the hotel is located right in front of the beach. The staff was friendly, and provided us with cinnamon drinks. We arrived a bit earlier, but they were able to check us in shortly. The breakfast was buffet style and had a lot of options, including Sri Lankan and Western food.

I enjoyed my stay in Galle.

I enjoyed my stay in Galle. The place was very clean and the environment was relaxing. It’s a good location to explore the city and enjoy the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the beds were a bit old and already broken, so it wasn’t very comfortable. If they fix that, it would be a much better stay. Overall, a nice experience and good value.

Very nice beach, people and good restaurants and shops in the village. Not huge and busy. Good place to eat and drink is Funky D Bar. Hikkaduwa was our resting place after travelling on the Eastern side during the cyclone. Unfortunately had to miss a couple of attractions but we did a day trip down to Galle Fort which was worth while - very nice.

Its a fantastic place, just at the beach and well planned hotel, pools, beach, restaurants, bars, lobbys are equally catering to customer service points. We had our best hotel experience at Araliya Unawatuna. Even met the owner and had a generous chat during breakfast which is so touching and personalized service standard I believe. Easy to visit Galle Fort, just a walk to the golden sandy beaches. Staff from top management to the ground staff is well trained to give excellent customer care. We specially thanking to our 7th flour room service staff who simply helped us in technical support, bars and restaurant staff and Nethmi & Dakshika and all wonderful reception staff memebers.

Location was easy to find. Accommodation was super.

Location was easy to find. Accommodation was super. Very quite place. Food was awesome and we were able to customize the meals as we want. Staff was very helpful. They provide value for the price they charge.

We did not venture into Bentota.

We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

Great beach with very few people.

Great beach with very few people. Not suitable for swimming as the current is very strong. Also, as a solo female traveller, because there are so few people on the beach it is advisable to be extra cautious. One morning when I was walking by myself, there was a man in the bushes who exposed himself to me (intentionally). So use caution.

I recently stayed at La Kurumba for two nights, and everything about the hotel was exceptional! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Koggalla is small ,but has the same nice beaches and...

Koggalla is small ,but has the same nice beaches and restaurants as the other towns on the coast.Yes a bit more basic,but also less crowded . We found the locals very friendly and niceThe stilt fishing demonstration is a cool thing to see and just be aware that you pay for pictures or videos.Nothing much and we had a fun time with all 5 guys showing us the ropes.If you respect them they will show you kindness and will be very friendly.We even delivered some chocolate for their kids later ,because we were staying so close to their beach.And that really made their day. Small gesture,but big enjoyment for everybody

if you are some one who wants to enjoy sea views with modern day comforts - look no further , I am very wildly travel and for me I have not found any such place to enjoy sea views , relax and be to myself . staff here is very lovely , special shout out Prabhu who did his best to give us vegetarian food , perfect place for me time and unwinding
