We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage Negombo! The receptionists were the sweetest, we felt really welcome. The staff was really attentive and cared about us, going out of their way to make our stay great. The room was as described, the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the evening and morning swim at the pool, it was something magical! Our heartfelt compliments to the chef - we absolutely LOVED the food! In the morning, the cook prepared the breakfast from the coconut he harvested from the hotel's garden that same morning! The location is a bit remote, but also very calm and quiet. Walking around we could peek into the lives of common Sri Lankans. All in all, a great stay, recommended!

HeI had a fantastic stay at Wetland Resort! It’s a small, extremely clean, and comfortable place. The pool is spotless and inviting, and the rooms are modern with comfortable beds and even a small kitchen, which is a great touch. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. They went above and beyond to help us, including arranging transportation and even preparing a special meal we requested that wasn’t on the menu. Their kindness and attentiveness made our experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this resort, especially for a convenient stopover near the airport. I would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing hotel if you want to chill, relax by the huge 100m pool or use the spa (which was one the best I had in Sri Lanka). It is very quiet perfect for relaxing before/after flight as it is close to Colombo airport, but often you can hear planes landing. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming, although food service is sometimes slow. Food menus are okay, but beware the menu is somewhat "healthy" so missing typical hotel comfort food. The room is really large, bed comfy. I had the large outside bathroom with both shower and a bathtub. French press coffee, real milk and water provided. There is no TV though (I did not need it at all)

The ground are nice green grass with beach lounge chairs 4. The property is on a nice walkable beach 5. Hotel J is on a making drag where you can walk to shops and restaurants. 6. Good mix of Western and Srilankan food, I and my wife loved the Srilankan food!! The resort faces the Negombo lagoon and we took a motorboat ride with Deva to the wetlands, it was very peaceful and tranquil with lots of birds, monkeys and also one moniter lizard. The peace and quiet of this resort takes away all the tension, and helps me relax and plan.

Perfect for travelers just commencing or wrapping up their Sri Lanka trip. Close to the airport with a nice beach and tens of eating options. Tuktuks available at odd hours - I booked one via a ride-hailing app at 4 am within 2 miutes. Also, loved dining at Zen Cafe when I stayed here.

We had 2 nights before our flight. Not the right season for the local beach, they were beautiful down south. We enjoyed our Negombo cooking class. Was a lot of preparing the food and even better when it came to eat it

We loved the down to earth hospitality of all the staff. Specially Dinesh, who stands out the crowd as a professional. Kind and jovial he knows how to row the boat gently and professionally. The chef did an excellent job as the restaurant boys. We can not thank them enough for a job well done.

I feel its overrated. If someone needs a beach vibe in short distance from airport its fine but there is no strong night life. Food is overpriced.Seafood is way too expensive than Colombo also. As a local I feel Negombo is not par with south coast

Katunayake is a convenient location for travelers, especially those flying in or out of Bandaranaike International Airport. It’s a busy area with easy access to transportation and essential services, making it ideal for short stays before or after a flight. I stayed at Hello Airport Hotel during my time in Katunayake, and it was a great choice. The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, which made it perfect for my early morning departure. The location couldn’t be better for transit passengers. The check-in was smooth, the staff were polite, and the room was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, convenient stop near the airport, I’d definitely recommend Hello Airport Hotel.

I like most of the thing is staff's response was excellent and very quiet and peaceful room. The hotel must be implemented to do below the mentioned points. 1: The hotel room needs to keep a dustbin. 2: The hotel must keep a bath towel inside the bathroom. 3; The Bathroom inside the slippers needs to be kept. Other than this everything is ok.

We stayed here overnight after travelling around Sri Lanka. We did not expect the warmth and kindness we received. The room was very cheap, yet large, clean and the proprietor even gave us lifts locally to the shops etc.
