We stayed at Amanta Beach Resort for two nights and wished we would have stayed for a week! The property is beautiful and private but close enough to Nilaveli & Trinco that you could take a Tuk Tuk if you needed to. The rooms were spotless, beautiful, and everything worked perfectly (including the air con). As previous reviewers have said, the beach is your own little private slice of paradise. We were there a few weeks before the heavy season, so the seas were a bit rough, but we spent many hours lounging in the chairs on the sand! The food was amazing too! We had dinner one night and it was one of the best meals that we've had on our year abroad. The owner/chef comes out and explains everything and tells you where he got the ingredients from (mostly his on-site garden). Shyakthi and his staff make this place what it is! They all go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying yourself and that you're comfortable. They put a lot of time and energy into the entire experience and it shows. There is a reason this hotel is rated 9+ on Booking and you should definitely come see for yourself!

A gorgeous sanctuary in a quiet area. A short walk or tuktuk ride to beach and restaurants, but very quiet and relaxing. Clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. The owner is a very friendly and interesting guy. He can arrange anything for you and tell you stories about his life. There was great internet access and every room has a balcony with table and chairs if you are working online or just enjoying a quiet sunset. The pool was clean and brand new. Every room had a kettle and small fridge for snacks if you don’t want to eat out every meal. Breakfast was great and made fresh every day. More food than you could ever finish! When they open their restaurant, I’m sure it will be great, too.

I stayed at Aaathi Resort, Trincomalee, for 2 nights during a couple’s trip, and it was an amazing experience! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The resort provided thoughtful amenities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash, along with free Wi-Fi, which was very convenient. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean. The landscaping is well-maintained and adds to the relaxing vibe. It truly feels like home and is also a very safe place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Trincomalee – I would definitely come back again!

It is situated very close to the beach and a lot of restaurants. Capital even has their own restaurant. The staff, especially the owner Suresh, were very accommodating even before we arrive. They helped us book the tours as well. I also love their resident kittens: Lion and Bagheera!
