Exceptional couple offering you the luxury of a quiet retreat in a beautiful island. Both Virly and Xavi made us feel at home straight away and have been nothing but lovely for the entirety of our stay there. They are running this very homey resort with a great sense of hospitality, always ready to answer our needs and giving advice or just simply having a chat with them because they really are great people all-around. And then you'll also be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the small island village with turquoise water and bird singing and can do a star gazing session while in the swimming pool in the evening. Thumbs up to Virly also for her delicious and homey cooking (we loved the baracuda fish). If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to rest in total simplicity, this place is just made for you.

If you are looking fir a place to feel like kings. Before we arrive until the time we leave we had the best service ever.

I travelled with several family members to Kalanggaman Island and found Bellavista as the closest and nicest place to stay. The front desk manager, Heaven, greeted us and took care of all of our needs during our stay. Mae, the housekeeping manager was also very nice and helpful. The 2 bedroom family suite with full kitchen and living room was excellent as was the king suite.

I rarely give a 10 rating to a place but this one is so outstanding that it deserves the highest. Unfortunately you won’t find another place like this for this value in the Philippines. The host are gracious and super attentive and the place feels like home. Stephan also organized a really nice island hopping for us.

Absolutely gorgeous rooms and common areas, nice location close enough to the Center to walk but not directly in it. George and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful to an extend that goes way beyond usual hosts.

Surigao Dream was a dream. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and their story is so interesting. The food they cook is delicious and the pool has amazing views with incredible sunset views. The Bungalows are great with their own private deck looking over the water and the beds are comfortable with plenty of room. Not far from Surigao City either, a great area to stay in when you visit.

Casa Basa was wonderful! All staff are some welcoming, kind, and friendly. I rented a motorbike to use during my stay, and Mich kindly gave me a quick tutorial on how to use it. The property is a 5-10 minute ride from the main General Luna area, but I preferred this; it was so peaceful and quiet at the accommodation. They were also working to make the Starlink internet even better during my stay—this made it easier for me to get some work done. There were occasional power outages due to the island-wide power issues, but Casa Basa has a backup generator, so things were restored quickly. Breakfasts and smoothies were delicious, and the adorable dogs were also a big plus for me. It was a wonderful stay and I would love to visit again the next time I come to Siargao! Wonderful! We booked 1 night in this really cool beach bungalow and it was so good that we extended our stay for 3 days (and got a good discount). It was right on the beach and felt like we were on our very own desert island, waking up to the sound of the waves and taking a swim in the fantastically clear warm water before breakfast. We didn’t see any tourists at all on the beach, just some locals taking a walk and kids playing in the water, it was surreal after staying in Boracay with all the crowds and noise! The staff gave us snorkeling stuff for free and David the owner led us out to see the incredible variety of coral, which started just a short distance from the beach and though we saw many varieties of fish, it seems that there were many more before the pandemic, but the locals have decimated the stock as there was no work for them. But the starfish were prolific, we counted 10 different colors including some really bright blue ones, but be careful of the sea urchins, they’re only on the coral, so don’t swim over the coral at low tide. Ely took us for an island tour in this amazing 6 seater off road UTV, it could go anywhere and we took off road tracks to cliff jumps, deserted beaches and caves, this is a must, which you would never find if you hired motorcycles. Now the restaurant on this fantastic balcony (or you can eat at the beach bar). The food my god was soo good, Malou and the other staff were such good cooks, with both local and foreign dishes, don’t miss the yummy spicy spareribs, the stuffed baby squid, the curry, the adobo and of course the seafood; simply delicious! We wanted to stay longer and wished we had come here first and not bothered with Boracay, so sad to leave and will defiantly be back and skip the Boracay stay!

I would say that this is definitely the best hotel in the Philippines. And this hotel is the most satisfying one in my 14 day journey in El Nido. The location of the hotel is great. 2mins drive from the airport to hotel and 1min walk from hotel to Lio beach, which is where I like to go for sunset run. They have hotel transportation to town as well. The hotel room was soooo AMAZING, high ceiling with remote curtains is my favorite thing that really blew my mind in a third-world country especially in an island like El Nido. The room is equipped with a small kitchen with cooking facilities for perfect for my midnight snacks. A kettle, refrigerator, and capsule coffee machine. There are wine glass, artsy plates and coffee cups. The bathroom has separate toilet and shower, by the way it’s also remote controlled TOILET with heated seats. I like all the details they provide in the room and hotel services. I like being close with nature, the hotel is located in the forest, surrounded with big old trees and palm trees..I was lucky to see a Palawan hornbill just passing by right in front of my big french window. Sometimes, I see monkeys and squirrels jumping around playing, and maybe some people wouldn’t like that. But to me, it brings different cozy feelings. The room is really QUIET and it makes me feel so safe. I’m such a light sleeper. But I was able to adjust my jet lag and have quality sleep on all the nights. I’m so appreciative to all the staff in the hotel, they are so welcoming, their suggestions of the travel tips are so great and they made me really felt like home. Thank you Piece Lio. The living area was spacious enough to relax after long days exploring. Had everything I needed as a solo guest. Would definitely return here again.
