Located in Tacloban, 4 miles from MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park, Hotel Costa Brava has a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. THIS WAS THE BEST INTERNET IN ANY OF THE 11 HOTELS I HAVE STAYED AT IN THE PHILIPPINES THIS TRIP, FAST CONSISTENT . THE STAFF WERE COURTEOUS , FRIENDLY , HELPFUL , THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT , I WILL CERTAINLY STAY THERE AGAIN I WOULD RATE THE HOTEL AS A 10 OUT OF TEN . COMMENTS ABOUT THE POSITION BY OTHER PEOPLE SEEM UNFAIR , IT IS 20 PESOS FOR A BUS TO THE CITY BUSES EVERY 5 MINUTES ALL DAY . EVEN A TAXI IS ONLY 300 PESOS . COMMENTS ABOUT LACK OF NEWSPAPERS ARE SO RIDICULOUS I CAN ONLY ASSUME THEY ARE LEFT BY THE COMPETITION . I OBSERVED DAILY STAFF TRAINING AND I WAS IMPRESSED
Located in Tacloban, 3.4 miles from MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park, HIS Capsule Hostel provides accommodations with a terrace and free private parking. HIS Capsule hostel is well located if you have to take a flight from Tacloban. You can easily find a jeepney to go to the airport from the hostel (you just have to walk 3 minutes to the rounadbout). Plus, if you arrive from the south of the island in van, the hostel is on the way of the van : you can ask to the driver to drop you off in front of the hostel. The hostel is clean and well laid out (locker, individual lamp and plug, wifi, an area to work...).
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Ace Francis Hotel offers accommodations in Tacloban. An in-house restaurant is available, while free private parking is provided on site. When I was in I didn't have a chance to watch tv , it was blurry , but then when I checkout it was fixed. I kinda joke with the front desk that I need a refund😊 All in all it was fair and I like the wifi situation, even the signal is jump around

More than the architectural history of the city and MacArthur's larger than life portrayal of the Leyte Landing, it was great to see the city up and running again after Typhoon Yolanda. Seeing the pictures from the typhoon aftermath to when we went, there were some signs of destruction and permanent memorials, but in the city and along the coastal towns, their reconstruction is a testament to the human spirit.
There are limited places to go in tacloban, but were able to go to some nearby towns like Ormoc, Lake Danao, Palo, Agas Agas, but i have to spent a lot just to reach these places. Its a good thing we met somebody in the airport who served as our driver cum tourist guide. Mind you he was so good!
It was amazing I see a lot of things when I'm in tacloban and I was so amaze because after the disaster that happen to them they are still there stand up and show up that they can still live there life even they have that calamity that happen to them I'm glad to see how they stand up and improve again.
Well it has been 3 yrs since Yolanda came through Tacloban my thoughts is they have done a great job in that 3 yrs but a lot of the beach resorts here are gone and the two beach resorts we found Leyte beach resort and Victoria Mar were dumps. But I love the trip and will go back again
most roads under repair so traffic was undesirable. dusty, bumpy roads. not too many specialty restaurants where you can sample the local dishes. went to the food court and the choices are disappointing. travelers from manila esp me, want to eat dishes that are not common in manila, hence the preference for specialty restaurants and there was none. i loved the tee shirts of a local brand with leyte designs in robinsons though, they were unique and artsy and original. islands souvenirs designs are so plain and boring now, i know, i looked in palawan and tagbilaran- all the same prints. bus terminal also needs A LOT of improvement, it was scary looking, sorry
Hurrible traffic infront of Robinsons Place in the afternoon until closing time of the mall. So hard to pass through going Palo and back to downtown during this times. A lot of hotels, restaurant.
