The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Forest Hills Golf & Resort and Jo-o -daki Waterfalls. The historical Shun-pu-kan in Takehara City is 40 minutes by car. The lady at the reception with good command of English, and the gentleman who helped us with our luggage (also with good command of English) or extremely welcoming and helpful. They even helped us to book a cab for the next day. It was the best thing about the hotel. And the view is great, especially the garden behind the hotel.
