Alford is a charming market town in Lincolnshire. It is set just outside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty about 11 miles north-west of the Skegness. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. Alford is known for its Grade 1 listed working windmill, which is used commercially to produce stone-ground organic flour. Alford Manor House is a central point in the town, with its exhibitions and museum as well as a tea room and open gardens.
