Sen House is a cute traditional Japanese home, with classic Japanese colors, tatami flooring and a lovely zen garden. Experience genuine Japanese traditional and minimalist architecture that will ensure a relaxed stay as you build a memorable experience in one of the world’s classic cities. Upon entering Sen you will find yourself in the genkan, stylized by modern accent lighting blended with traditional Japanese charm. On the left-hand side you’ll find the separate toilet. Moving further into the house is the spacious, dual-purpose traditional tatami room. This room includes three plush futons where guests can get a great night of sleep to recharge for another day of adventure. Folding the futons up, this room can also be enjoyed as a living space. Making use of the floor table and the zabuton while enjoying a warm cup of tea on a chilly Kyoto evening, you will truly come to appreciate the traditional Japanese lifestyle. Connected to the traditional tatami room, you will find the combination kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is complete with all the modern amenities. From the dining area, you have access to the washroom where the washing machine is located.

Nine mins walk from JR Hanazono Station (4 stops from Kyoto Station), the house has particularly good access to the western Arashiyama district and the northern sights of Ryoanji and Kinkakuji, which are some of the most classical destinations in Kyoto.
