Very clean and seems to be renovated. The staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for. Right in the centre of the old city. Car had to be parked in the public parking garage close by.

Opened in January 2013, Hotel Mercure Fribourg Centre Remparts is located next to the ancient city wall of Fribourg, a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Fribourg and the Cathedral.

The best place ever. I arrived in the middle of the snow storm (ok, I am exagerating a little bit but I was not prepared to it) and I felt immediately at home. A warm, relaxing, clean, quiet environment, with kind, friendly and efficient staff. The room was perfect, equipped with everything that could be necessary and full courtesy sets. Breakfast time was very well scheduled, starting at 6.30 (I did appreciate that because it allowed me to reach my appointments' location timely). The variety of food and beverages was enough to satisfy any taste and preference. Congratulations to the whole staff for making this stay unforgettable. I'll be back soon in Fribourg to try les meringues avec double creme de la Gruyere (I am not sure this is the correct way to write it) and, if possible, I'll stay there 😉

Nice place to take a break after a long journey if you are still far from your destination. We had another 4 hours drive, and this lodge gives us a great break. Breakfast was good as well.

Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom with a spacious shower cubicle, a TV. Hotel services are available on request.

This hotel is becoming our place to stay in Fribourg. We love the location, how the hotel is decorated and renewed: the mixture of original stone walls with modern elements in rooms and common areas. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff, professional and very kind. The breakfast: a well-balanced sortiment of very good quality. No excessive, no food wasted. Looking forward to our next stay.

Situated in the village of Givisiez, Escale is just a 5-minute drive away from Fribourg. It comes with a pizzeria and a restaurant offering Swiss cuisine, as well as a bar.

Great hotel just on the edge of town. Nice room which had a small kitchenette within. Supermarket just around the corner so this suited us just fine. Loads of parking. Easy check in & check out. Nice breakfast in the biggest dining room I’ve ever seen. Best bit about this hotel was the staff. We arrived early, room not ready. No probs the staff just speeded up their process. Needed an plug adapter. No probs they lent us one. They even helped park our motorbike in the car park. The reception lady was brilliant as was Vanessa who not only sorted our room out but provided breakfast as well. She is an absolute credit to the hotel & made our stay so much more comfortable. Big thumbs up.
