everything about this guesthouse was excellent. The owners have anticipated every possible need of their guests eg a small safe in each room for your valuables along with the more commonly available free drinking water, coffee and beach towels. The food was excellent and v good value. The rooms were spotless, large and with super comfortable beds. The beach was beautiful and there were two wonderful cabanas right on the beach for shade. We spent 5 nights here and could happily have stayed longer. It is about 45 mins north of the airport and at least 90 mins by scooter down to GL. The guesthouse has everything you could need so you don’t need to leave the grounds.

this is the kind of hostel you DREAM of before starting your backpacking trip. 10/10!!! one of THE BEST places i’ve ever stayed. i’m leaving a piece of my heart here! i instantly felt at home here. the place is clean, new, and beautifully designed. the kitchen is super well-equipped (yes, even a blender!), and everything feels fresh but warm. the staff are amazing — so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. what makes this place special is the vibe. it’s more than a hostel — it’s a community. it’s located in a local filipino neighborhood, and you can truly feel part of it. after a few days, the neighborhood kids call you by name. it’s not about staying in a place — it’s about belonging. there’s the perfect balance between social and solo. you can join dinners, chats, rooftop sunsets, but also enjoy your own space without pressure. the energy is just right. they pay attention to little things — like fresh flowers on the table — and it makes all the difference. i’ve met incredible people here, shared meals, deep talks, and so many laughs. most people end up extending their stay — and i totally get it. i would stay forever if i could

Easy to access location, walking distance to several beautiful beaches and a short drive to nearby attractions. Friendly and kind hosts, the home-cooked dinner is not to be missed. Very clean and safe, family atmosphere. Starlink worked great, which was good because we did not get cell reception. Nice common area and kitchen to prepare your own meals or meet other travelers. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Great rate for the stay. Well priced food. Terrific staff, Lia is a wonderful concierge. Karl is a terrific Host. The dogs play on the beach and are extremely friendly, they really add to the beach vibe. Drinks are well priced. It's everything you could want. And don't get me started on the location and views. It's really beautiful. Having the beach right outside your doorstep is heaven. The beach is free to use for guests. Karl will soon have a boat to take guests out on. There's no better place to stay. Amazing views of the ocean and surrounding area. Not a man made structure in sight. Breathtaking views from the rooftop. Very clean pool area, and the food was delicious. The bushes in front of our room came alive with the greatest firefly show I've ever seen at night. Staff was perfect, and we couldn't ask for better. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. It was an incredible stay, we can't wait to come back.

Lawi Haven is such a peaceful spot to stay. Beach is just a few steps away! The place is well-kept and clean, with cozy rooms that make it easy to relax and get a good night’s rest. The staff (Pao and Sam) are warm and accommodating, always ready to help, and the location is perfect for enjoying the quiet side of the island while still being close to what you need. A real hidden gem up north in Burgos!
