- From CNY 2,598.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 174 reviewsOur favorite new stay in Maun before & after visiting the delta. What a GEM! It is a beautiful lodge on the bank of the Boteti river, but even has beautiful views when the river is dry. The service is exceptional and feels 5*. The welcome at the reception is incredibly professional and welcoming. When we came back for the second time they were so happy they put us with a big smile at the bar with a cold drink, so they could make our (already clean and prepped) chalet even nicer with an elaborate flower and towel decoration on the bed. Chello and Kelly, the way you handle the reception and welcome at the lodge is like a warm bath! You two are amazing and it wouldn't be the same without you two & a shoutout to the ladies who make the rooms so gorgeous!!! Also the lodge manageress makes it a point to greet you individually which is also very appreciated at several points during your stay. It seems you have the same waiter in the restaurant throughout your stay (or at least we had , both visits) which is a nice touch.. All the rooms are separate cottages with thatched roofing and part mosquito gauze for airflow along the roof. Very clean, good beds, nice bathrooms and a shower with a ton of pressure. There are rooms with aircon and less river view (but still a nice view) and rooms with the best view but without aircon. I believe there are also family chalets or doubles and a wellness/spa/lounge area, but not sure. The food is great! Don't hesitate to stay here! Thank you from D&AGuest review byDNTNetherlands

For people interested in birds and wildlife the Panhandle river cruise with a very knowledgeable guide is highly recommended.Guest review byBorisSwitzerland

We did not stay for long, but for stocking up the twon a good amount of shops and chain stores you may also know from South Africa. Unfortunately, the croc farms seems to have closed down, the local game park was closed for rehabilitation, and the museum was closed for the weekend.Guest review byBuk - 4.0

Comfortable cabins with nice location and great potential if you want to be out of Maun but need to make sure if food is available and to pay on arrival to avoid problems with payment as staff not present on site earlyGuest review byJessicaSouth Africa - 6.0

We were disappointed, we were under the impression that we could drive around in the area and on the premises, but you have to book for game drives. The water hole is on the side for the tented camp visitors, the people camping does not really have access. The camping is a good stop over for one night, but a longer stay will is not recommended.Guest review byHengeleneSouth Africa - 8.0

For tourists going into the delta I recommend at least a day in Maun to check out the local sights and meet some of the locals. Botswana and Maun in particular see tourists come in and go straight out to the delta, so no added benefit to the residents just a constant flow of people leaving nothing of benefit to the local community Stop over in a local hotel, there are plenty to suit every ones finances, interact with the local community there is lots to do and seeGuest review byAnonymous - 2.0

When you see distance to town center for hotels in Maun, don't be deceived like I was. Town center is a ratty 4 way stop, nothing you want to be too close to. There are a few places in Maun that may be OK but you have to do your research and they are spread out.Guest review bybschranzUnited States
