Amazing staff , which helped us to organize activities. Great location, right at the entrance to Beofeng lake - beautiful area, which could be seen in 2 hours including the boat ride. We did it in between other activities. Good breakfast. Free washer and dryer available on the top floor, which is very convenient.

Good value. Clean white comfortable bed, generally very clean room, but I was surprised to see some stray hair on a bathrom wall. Good hot shower. Nice design. Excellent location within 5 minutes walk to the entrance of the park. Above all, wonderful caring and hospitable owners. They met me well past midnight and spent time drawing out different park routes for the next 4 days. Fluent English-speaking person Carol was also very helpful with purchansing tickets, providing directions, and relaying messages to the staff. BUT be sure you know what types of tickets you want as I made a mistake ordering a certain route then incurring hefty cancellation fee to change the already expensive ticket. Carol helps, but don't expect her to go into details.

Near the east gate of the park. Carol and her team were very helpful. They helped us develop a custom plan to visit the Tainmen mountain, Grand canyon / glass bridge, and the national park, and did all the ticket reservations for us. They are many restaurants and food in the street.

The house is big and comfortable, located in a very quiet area outside of the city. And very close to the national park. A few weeks before arriving I was contacted by a very nice lady called Wendy that helped me orgenized everything I needed from recommendations of what to do and where to go each day to helping with buying the tickets to some places. All in English. I think the place is great for couples and families.

Holy smokes, Sanctum Peaks wasn't just a hotel, it was our July savior!​​ Landing in Zhangjiajie during peak heat felt like stepping into a sauna, but this place? ​Pure, glorious chill.​​ The ​​"Icy Oasis Pool" (my nickname for it!)​​ was ​MASSIVE​ – legit feels bigger than three community pools combined! Floating around at sunset, watching the sky bleed orange behind those crazy peaks... ​mind-blowing scenery therapy.​​ For context: our kid did laps in his inflatable kayak while we sipped something cold – THAT kind of space! ​Total game-changer for the brutal temps.​​ ​Rooms nailed the vibe:​​ beautiful ​​"ancient charm" with dark wood beams and silk accents,​​ but also ​stone-cold A/C that worked like a champ​ (crucial detail!). It felt refined, not stuffy. Slept like a log after those long days. ​The REAL MVP though? Their "Adventure Concierge Team."​​ Seriously. We rolled up with zero plans, just said "show us the best of Zhangjiajie without melting." Boom. ​Next morning, a tailored itinerary, a super-knowledgeable English-speaking guide (David!), and an AC-equipped SUV magically appeared.​​ No fuss, no haggling, ​just seamless awesome.​​ They booked tickets in advance (NO LINES!), timed hikes perfectly to avoid crowds & heat, and even knew the best shady spots for snacks. ​Effortless vacation unlocked.     A very unique place to be. A must visit place.

    A very unique place to be. A must visit place. We loved it even though we can’t read Chinese and speak a little only. We enjoyed our very short time there. Even in the rain it was great fun. Wear waterproof trainers when it’s rainy season as your feet will get wet and it can be slippery with the wrong footwear.

    City with very friendly people from the hotel, the Metro and the tourist places. We loved the Orange Island and the photos we took will always give us memories. The food was not any different from ours back home but it was more tasty. It was easy for us to get around using the metro and taxis.

    Stunning!

    Stunning! our 2nd favorite natural attraction in China, 2nd only to Huangshan Mountain. lots of great trails with exceptional views of a singular landscape. we stayed inside the park at YOLO hotel, which made access very easy. fortunately, transportation inside the park is shuttle bus only, they run frequently, and there's no congestion from private autos like you get at Yosemite. there's a big focus on "Avatar", but that is only one pillar of hundreds. Zhangjiajie is like Arizona's Grand Canyon except in a temperate rain forest, and on a more intimate scale, plus there are no incessant helicopters or mule feces.

    Great place to be!

    Great place to be! The cost of food and everything is noticeably cheaper compared to the major cities of china. High recommend it if you are a night owl, this city never sleeps and is great for grabbing a drink and late night meal. There are also alot of hidden gems up in the mountains.

    Amazing place.

    Amazing place. My focus was in the nature and zhangjiajie definitely delivered. Everything went super smoothly, but couple didi drivers tried to scam more money by adding extra fees in the app. Luckily didi customer service was good and got it fixed. Besides that small thing everything else was 10/10 for me, i strongly recommend visiting.

    The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day and the night! For women, the traditional attire rental is something everyone should try. The booking for Hanfu and Mao clothing are not available online though, but its everywhere once you are in the town.

    Although large population, residents are provincial. Lacks the charm of other cities. Entry into downtown area nearly impossible. Traffic unbelievable. Only one entry into main area. Left earlier than anticipated because of the nature of the city. Couldn't be bothered to see more.
