- From $142.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,220 reviewsThis is the best kept secret on the Camino Portuguese coastal route! This place is an actual spa, just a few kilometers off of the Camino!!! It was an amazing place. It has an amazing indoor pool that is filled with sea water from the coast. The pool is heated and has about 10 different stations with amazing jets of water that focus on a different part of the body. This felt soooopo good on my Camino sore muscles. The food in the restaurant was also spectacular. It's a good idea to reserve time in the pool and the restaurant before you arrive. Both highly recommended. I left this place completely rejuvenated and ready to tackle the rest of my Camino.Guest review byBrentUnited States
- From $167.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,747 reviewsWe stayed here during a major wind and rain storm. The waves outside our window were amazing. Even though the hotel is on the inlet and not directly on the Atlantic Ocean, the view of the water was stunning. The room was large and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very accommodating, especially in the midst of the storm. There were several restaurants just 2km away in a picturesque little fishing village. Galicia Spain is a seldom visited secret and the Isla de la Toja is magical.Guest review byWander'n StarUnited States

Vigo is very clean and open.
Vigo is very clean and open. City has good shopping and food. The area close to the water has a few streets that are used as urinals at night with a strong odor of urine. In other parts of the city it was very clean.Guest review byrobert - 10.0

Pretty city with lovely river walks and the old town was gorgeous. Beautiful churches and basilicas which were free to visit. The restaurants were excellent and a wide range of cuisines. It was a bit hectic driving around town and parking on the street was difficult. However, there were many inexpensive carparks available. The people were friendly and learning a little Spanish before visiting this region, will go a long way.Guest review byBelindaAustralia - 8.0

There was a good street market when we arrived around lunchtime. It was really difficult to find a place that would serve a meal in the early evening. Finally, we found Bar La Catedral Del Sabor, very near our hotel. The owners are lovely and we had a good meal there. They have a stamp for the Camino passport also. The bridge on the Camino, as it leaves Caldas da Reis, is very picturesque.Guest review byMaireIreland - 8.0
Beautiful views and clean beaches.
Beautiful views and clean beaches. Different coves to discover. Fabulous cake shops. Lovely restaurants . We stayed for 7 nights but felt that we could have moved on after 5. Very few people speak English here and there are some steep banks to negociate.Guest review byrobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Tui is a beautiful town located near the border with Portugal. Ideal location for our rest day while walking the Camino Portuguese. The town is full of history and oozes charm and character. There are plenty of great places to eat or simply people watch in a cafe. Everything we wanted to do was in easy walking distance of our accommodation.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Nice town and pretty good hotel.
Nice town and pretty good hotel. Only one complain - I stayed in room 311. Some freaky internal designer placed a shelf above the sitting place of the desk. On getting up from the chair I smashed my head in that shelf. It still hurts! fortunately I have a strong head. Please remove that shelf. Next guest may have a weaker head....Guest review byNikolayBulgaria - 10.0
This town was such a nice surprise.
This town was such a nice surprise. I decided to divide my camino stage and Porriño was great to visit. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafés. It's a beautiful town architecturally, so I enjoyed walking around the town. It's also not a touristy town or a place overrun with other Caminho pilgrims (like me), so I was able to experience the town without a lot of outside influence. On a personal choice note, I actually enjoyed Porriño more than Valença and Tui. I spent a night in each of those locations on my Camino. The other two towns were much more focused on the tourist/pilgrim guests. While I enjoyed Valença because of its history and architecture, the town was more touristy than I would have liked. Porriño has all the charm of a small town, without the interference of outside . A final note about Porriño. The people that you interact with, restaurant, hotel staff or just people you meet on the street were always pleasant to interact with. They were always patient with my limited language skills and made me feel welcome in their town. Visit Porriño!Guest review byCamino 2023 Rick FLUnited States - 10.0
I really enjoyed Baiona!
I really enjoyed Baiona! The seaside coast is spectacularly beautiful. The downtown core has a nice charm to it, without feeling super touristy. The sea wall/fortress is a really pretty spot and very photogenic. The marinas full of boats add to the ambience. It’s not too far to walk to the Virgen de la Roca (maybe 20 minutes from downtown) and is a very scenic viewpoint. Would highly recommend.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
