My stay was perfect!
My stay was perfect! I visited all of the dinning options and each one was terrific. The staff was great and the recreation facilities are amazing. I enjoyed the spa and appointments were easy to make. I spent a lot of time walking around the lake and resort. The scenery is beautiful--especially this time of year. Great location but the town lacked restaurants. On Friday night we had to taxi out to a restaurant located near the border crossing. It was good but it would be nice if they had a good selection in town. Most places to eat are associated with guest houses and not necessarily open to the public. The reserve was great. My group as forced to leave early because the gas went out in the hotel and there was no hot water!!!!!! Nice golf course but it is hard to enjoy yourself if you can't take a nice shower in these expensive hotel rooms. BAD BAD BAD service when the General Manager of the hotel did not respond to my two emails that simply and respectfully asked for a room credit instead of a refund. When I got not response, I contact my credit card company who reversed my payment. AVOID this rip-off hotel as we will in the future. Just got back from this glamping site and wow, what a trip! The tent was way bigger than I expected with a private balcony that looks right out over the valley. Honestly, the view alone made the whole stay worth it. The hosts were incredible and welcomed us with a warm heart. You can tell they actually care about their guests, not just going through the motions. What I loved most was how they do things sustainably - most the food at their restaurant is locally sourced, and they serve good organic wines. The whole place feels very welcoming to everyone too, which made the atmosphere really relaxed and friendly. The tent itself was super comfortable with real beds (not just camping gear) and even had yoga cushions. The shared bathrooms were clean with hot showers, which was a nice surprise. If you're looking for a getaway that's comfortable but still feels like a real nature experience, this place hits the sweet spot. I'd definitely go back! For me, it was the perfect stay. Telavi is the capital of Georgia's winemaking region - Kakheti. It was my first time there and my jaw dropped when I saw mountains all around the city and a lot of tourist attractions.
