Very clean and staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area is great to relax after any trips, and food (we had breakfast and lunches) is very, very good. Short walk into town and the hill (slope!) is easily manageable!! Don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t unless you have genuine mobility issues.

A beautiful resort with great amenities and lots to do! Wandering around the property, all of the gorgeous landscaping is a real treat and the aromas from the flowers are wonderful. The staff in the restaurant/bar are attentive and friendly and the rooms are nice and clean--they look just like the photos. We originally planned only a single night, but returned for another 2 nights to make sure Beryl didn't have any impacts on San Pedro (so we liked it enough to return despite what I say below!)
Really liked this hostel- it felt very clean with good beds, amazing breakfast and the location is great, close to ruins and a great resort where you can use their pool.
We loved the atmosphere and room. The front desk staff are wonderful as were all the tour guides and their tours. Darwin is a great concierge and we enjoyed Maya fish cooking and natural remedies with Ivan, iguana visit with George, Maya ruins with Cruz, and cave tubing with Wilbur. The desk and restaurant staff are also wonderful. We were able to do every activity directly from the resort and our time at the resort was delightful. The room is spacious and comfortable with great AC when needed. The pool and grounds are wonderful.
Since we are a family of 4 we booked a room with two double beds. The room was quite small and there was only room for two people to sit on the porch. Since renovation was being done to the room next to us and my husband complained about the noise we were upgraded to the garden cottage. I wasn’t too excited about the room but the garden cottage was fantastic for us as a family. The grounds of the resort are stunning and having the choice of swimming in the pool or tubing on the river was luxury. We loved the wildlife around the lodge.
We stay in a bungalow with a screened in porch, it was lovely and private. We enjoyed the restaurant and loved the little coffee shop. The resort was a good base to go on full day, excursions and the staff where all nice, helpful and friendly.
The property was great, the grounds were well kept, and the bar area was open and fun. Staff was nice and went beyond normal service at a resort.
The view from the resort is fantastic. The facilities were a bit dated, but functional. Difficult walk up and down from the bottom bungalows, not for anyone who isn't up for a lot of hilly walks. Perfect location next to the ruins that were basically deserted anytime we went by. Would stay again.
The entire experience was exceptional. We arrived by car service so were thrilled that all the tours that were perfectly chosen for us picked us up at the resort. Loved sitting outdoors every morning surrounded by the amazing birds they feed fruit and enjoying breakfast. Dinner was also wonderful. My husband wanted to watch a Kansas City Chiefs playoff game and they found a sports bar that could play it and arranged the taxi.
I liked the location and resort. It is located on top of hill with nice view.
