All in all, it’s a very cozy stay and would definitely come back again.

The property has a garden, as well as a restaurant that serves American and British cuisine. Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perhaps the most ideal, relaxing stay we have ever experienced. My husband actually sat still for several days, poolside, and read a book (!!!), dipped in the pool occasionally, slept in the shade, meditated on the ocean scene spread out before him (jet skis far enough in the distance to be interesting but not noisy, parasails colorfully dotting the warm blue skies against puffy white clouds). Breakfast was declicious with western and suburb local offerings—-and plenty of everything. Bar service was exceptional throughout the day. We dined on site one night and the menu, food, and service on the beach was, again, exceptional. The entire staff was all smiles and eager to please—-we felt so very welcome. And—drum roll: the turndown service each evening was charming! We would go out to dinner (the hotel is steps away from the throng of downtown Cenang with all it’s shopping and dining options) though the facility itself feels miles removed) and when we’d return to our room, the lights were dimmed, soft jazz was playing on the internet radio, the sheets were exquisitely “turned” with clever little tokens of paper messages about the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions of what to do, etc. It was like getting a fortune cookie on your bed (without the calories!). Speaking of calories, as part of the turndown service, they also provided large ceramic mugs with fixings for either tea or hot chocolate. And they always had a jar of peanuts and coconut cookies to nibble on throughout the day. And we strongly encourage folks to reserve a “high tea” at least one afternoon. Their tiered trays of savory and patisserie dainties was just as delightful as everything else. We originally considered staying at the hotel further north—-the one with the rooms out over the water. But we opted to be within walking distance of town/activity and we are so very, very glad with out choice. Casa Del Mar is an exceptional hotel and great value!

Featuring a private beach area, tennis court and free WiFi, The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi is located in Pantai Kok, 2.9 km from Oriental Village. It features a fitness centre. Guests can enjoy meals at the in-house restaurant or have a drink at the bar. This was the best hotel we ever stayed at. The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by rainforest, and has a lovely private beach. The water is always warm. The gardens are very well taken care of and the decoration of all the inside spaces is just perfect. There are many wild animals around the gardens (monkeys, lizards, etc), but the room is extremely clean and we never had any intruders. Our room was beautiful, larger than it seems in the photos. The restaurants are a bit expensive compared to the ones outside the hotel, but the price is justified by the excellent quality of the food and the attentive waiters. We felt that in this hotel, the guests are truly taken care of and all the staff makes an effort to provide you the best experience, with small surprises in the room everyday, for example. We also did a rainforest tour organized by the hotel that we enjoyed a lot, and the guide was very knowledgeable.

Langkawi Chantique is situated just a 15-minute drive through a village trunk road from Langkawi International Airport. It houses an outdoor pool and provides complimentary Wi-Fi access and private parking spaces. Very nice hotel, pool, and breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff who can advise on places to go and places to eat. You can also loan a push bike for a day, or rent a scooter. Both of which are good fun, to explore more the area. The beach is about 15 minutes walk away, with many activities, a bit crowded, but nearby Tengah beach is nicer. The Thursday night market is nearby and has some excellent local food. The breakfast is very good, lots of choices including omlette, scrambled eggs, very nice samosa, fruit, bread and coffee. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

This beachfront property offers spacious villas and pavilions with free WiFi throughout. It also houses 4 dining restaurants, a bar and a spa. The beach and the view is absolutely amazing. We stayed for nights and the breakfast was amazing although it can feel a bit repetitive after the 2nd day. They do change some of the dishes though. The staffs behavior are on another level. Extremely welcoming very warm and very helpful. Both of our kids (8G and 10B)also had an amazing time. They were either cycling (complimentary) or at the kids pool, which by the was very safe and did not need any supervision or they were busy at the kids club which is supervised by their lovely staff. Then we also had dinner by the beach, the food was simply outstanding just wish we could have enjoyed the food but couldn't due to mosquitos and insects biting on us. Hopefully the concern department can take care of this issue. They have two pools one is dedicated to adults only and then there is the family pool. I honestly loved the idea of having a private cavana right infront of the pool. You can lovedovey and all romantic with the missus all in your own little private area where no one can peek. We really enjoyed it.
