It was clean, tidy, well appointed and just like a traditional kiwi family Bach - we loved it instantly. Including the personalised welcome as we entered.
Owners are lovely, cottage was spotlessly clean, easy walking distance to town hub (even for an arthritic 74 year-old). Lots of interesting historical artefacts inside as well as out. Didn’t feel like a motel, rather a lovely, cosy cottage.
Accommodation was excellent, clean and very warm (heater was brilliant). Comfortable bedding, plenty of blankets. Able to prepare meals if required. Location of accommodation is within easy walking distance to historical shopping area. Recommend visiting New Orleans Hotel, excellent meals at a reasonable price.
Historical building and the bed is very comfortable really good sleep. 10mins walk to Town centre, nice quiet place and get more stars in the sky on Fernhill
Beautifully decorated and amazing location looking at historical church. 1 minute walk to main street. Very warm.
We enjoyed the view onto the courtyard and beyond. We liked the location being in close walking distance to the CBD. The staff were friendly and professional.
A stunning stately home with beautiful furnishings. Everything we needed for an overnight stay. Spacious room and sitting area, a bonus was access to a large library for added relaxation. We loved the sweet breakfast and home grown feijoas.
We loved this place! Very magical setting and glorious with the hot tub and outdoor shower - which was piping hot. Also felt lovely to have the owners available if we needed them, but we didn’t - everything was there and they totally left us to it.
An amazing historical hotel full of history if you take the time to browse. Beautiful courtyard, old school kiwi bar, chandeliers, clean rooms and friendly staff. Thee best location and very affordable !!! I stayed for 2 nights and loved it. Felt very safe and cozy. Small room with small bathroom with great shower, lots of hot water and great water pressure. 3 beds, like a hostel but better and more affordable. Absolute loved it, walked everywhere.
