Beautiful cottage close to the Lake District. Nicely decorated and furnished so we directly felt like home. It was very well equipped with a small beautiful garden that could also be enjoyed at lower outside temperatures due to the conservatory. Lots of useful hiking guides and interesting books. Dog-friendly accommodation.

Friendly staff, in old pub/inn. Lovely views from top floor room. Spacious, with a small table and 2 chairs. Binoculars in room were great to view the estuary. Good meals Great promenade to stroll. Excellent starting point for the Lake District. Parking included a big plus. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent home from home facilities , even supplies of dog bed , towels , bowls and treats for dog. Great for walks with dog on beach too albeit was very wet for our week stay but there was a hose in porch and drying area so not a problem. Welcome pack was a great touch with nespresso pods, tea, biscuits, wine and shacks
