Room was very bright and spacious with very comfortable beds and beautiful views over the Estuary. The grounds of Netherwood Hotel were just breathtaking, we have spend a lot time just sitting in the garden having a drink and just admiring the views.

We visited the hotel during our recent cycling trip through the UK. We had an amazing stay. The location is great, the owner and staff are extremely kind and helpful. Rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. We strongly advice to have dinner at the hotel restaurant (Junction Bar), great atmosphere, super tasty food and also live music! Breakfast was also great! Finally, if you are planning outdoor activities in the area (cycling/hiking), this hotel should be your first choice. There is a safe storage room for your bikes and the owner, a cyclist himself, will happily share useful information about the region.

Beautiful views and easy access to the Lake District, though narrow, windy Cumbrian roads can be a problem. The beach is good for walking, if you can cope with rocks - suitable walking shoes are essential

Stunning hidden gem.

Stunning hidden gem. Quiet and scenic with just the right level of amenities and more class than the larger resorts. Well connected by road and rail for exploring the southern end of the Lake District, the West of the Yorkshire Dale's and of course the Arnside and Silverdale AONB incl Leighton Moss.

Love Arnside!

Love Arnside! The views from the promenade and pier are wonderful - the fells in the distance were covered in snow and looked beautiful. Arnside chippy is a must - lovely food and very friendly staff in their cafe. The little bakery is also great - we sat in for drinks and food one day and a takeaway the next. The gift shops are lovely; bought a few Christmas presents. A very reliable train service runs through Arnside too - £10.90 return for 2 of us to Ulverston. Plenty of walks in Arnside too.

A very attractive village looking across Morecambe bay to the Lake District. Beautiful views. Good for walking. Various places to eat or have a coffee. If the Bistro, famous for its pizza, is full , there is a very nice cafe at the fish and chip shop with friendly staff. The hotel we stayed in also has a restaurant.

This is a beautiful cottage with lots of lovely little touches to it. It is quite a walk to the nearest shop on quite a steep hill. The nearest pub is just a little further than the shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we have a Springer Spaniel, so we enjoyed the plentiful areas to walk and as a bonus the pubs are dog friendly so we got to call in for a couple of drinks after our walks.

Nice and clean, modern, good size for a us (2 people and a small dog), felt like a home from home. Comfortable and well appointed. Location is lovely, we did well with the weather (sunshine all day) and the property maintained a good ambient temperature. Easy walk into Arnside down the track at the side of the house and some wonderful country walks close by.
