Great host (Loukas) - provided transport to and from the ferry, facilitated a quick check-in and gave us the island basics. Makares is just a short walk to the center of the village. Great seaview, clean - as advertised. Felt comfortable to spend a couple of days there.

The location, it’s tranquil setting, and the gentle sounds of the sea make this a very special place. Giovanni has created an oasis of sophisticated calm. The naturally influenced architecture helps the retreat blend into the landscape. There is also is sense of Italian style that sits very comfortably within the overall perspective. Everything is tastefully presented from the crockery to the crisp cottons sheets and fluffy towels. Healthy, tasty breakfasts await you every morning and we met some wonderful likeminded people.

The room was absolutely stunning, very simple, modern island design with a cute terrace onto a lovely garden. The location was perfect, very peaceful but only a 1 minute walk from the beach and shops. Our host was lovely and extremely helpful in every way. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful duplex a few minutes walk from the main beach and village. High quality beds, bathrooms and furniture probably the best rooms on the island with the nicest host, he picks you up on arrival at the ferry and drops you off. Always keen to help. Thanks for a great stay!

Host Dimitrius met us at the port and helped us with our bags and drove us to the lodging. Along the way he shared details about the city and island. The home was STUNNING. Of all the small cyclades we traveled to, this was the best lodging. It was SPACIOUS. The patio was fantastic. Lots of very charming details. It was so nice to get up to a higher elevation and AWAY from the town. We loved waking up and having coffee on the patio while listening to goat bells. It was well-situated between attractions on the island. The bus is frequent, but if you can bring a car to the island that is a major bonus as this house is NOT within walking distance of anything (which we loved).
