If you like different , you will love this. A wonderful old Rivermill , owned by a fabulous couple, in a French countryside setting only minutes from Omaha Beach. Ducks, chickens,sheep and an Alpaca even! The place is old and creaky, with a narrow staircase leading upstairs to a fantastic room to spend a few days in. We spent a couple of evenings chatting with Bernard and Maryanne ( hope I got spelling right) around the fire sharing tales of our travels with them. If you want five star accommodation don’t book this, but if you want a Five star experience then this is for you.

Everything is wonderful: the house, the room, the dining hall, the garden, the breakfast.The place is decorated with fine taste and with a beautiful warm touch. Hosts are really nice and welcoming. The place is located very close to Omaha beach and the beautiful city of Bayeux. I would absolutely recommend it if you want to see Normandy.
