For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Air conditioner did not work. The room was very hot, After opening the window, all I could smell was cigarette smoke and Marijuana coming into the room. Then, I tried shutting the window, but it wouldn't shut. So I reached out to the management, through text, Not much help with concerns...did not have a good sleep and breathed in cigarette smoke off and on all night...never again
We left for the airport before breakfast was available but they did provide a "grab bag" we could take. It was close to the airport and had a shuttle we could take, even at 5:30 AM.
The room is well-designed for travelers. It has a well-equipped kitchen, roomy cabinets and storage room, nice washroom, TV with Netflix, and a very comfy bed. It is located in the heart of downtown which is perfect. The luggage storage is an excellent feature for those who want to explore downtown but don't want to carry their stuff around. We will definitely stay again!
Located within three minutes walk of the QE Hospital. No shuttle as stated on website. Very helpful staff who moved things around to allow us to stay in the same room after needing to stay some extra nights.
Hotel is really great! Staff were so friendly, room was excellent and comfy, only slight negative for me is that bar is promptly shut at 2250, even at weekends and nowhere to get a nightcap in area.
Breakfast good.
Location convenient from where I was coming from but I wanted the Holiday Inn Express at the Airport, so I could park there for 4 days and just wake up and take the shuttle to the airport. I didn’t find out till I checked in that I was not at the airport. (I am not from Nova Scotia). It was past 9pm after a long trip. And I’d already paid for my room. I’d have to rush the next morning and reorganize for an early flight.
Breakfast was very good with the variety of choosing. You could order from the menu or have the buffet with a good variety and the scrambled eggs were perfect. The prices were reasonable. We ate from the buffet twice and our third morning we ordered off the menu. My husband had eggs Benny and they were excellent I had the oatmeal with toasted coconut and rhubarb chutney very tasty.
