The four bedroom villa is simply enormous and can easily accommodate up to eight people. There is oodles of communal space, and for guests that want some solitude there are two large balconies, a small garden by the pool, and a courtyard on the lower level.
The estate staff were always helpful, arranging for an airport transfer, offering advice, and even driving guests around the estate in electric buggies. They use WeChat for all rapid communications, which makes it convenient for everyone.
The estate is adjacent to a long and pleasant sandy beach. The local beach area is subject to undertow, so don't expect to go swiming in the sea within the viscinity of the estate. Expect a pleasant 200-900m walk through the estate to reach the beach, depending on location of the allocated villa.

Generally the service coincide well with good practices of Intercontinental, namely good and properly equipped room, it is not necessary to ask them to bring toiletries or something, everything is in place. Personnel is attentive and tries to do their best. Coming to Hainan today you should be aware that practically nobody could speak English (and most probably other languages as well), few of them can understand, and you should be patient enough to explain what you want. If you succeed, everything will be done in a blink of an eye and completely in accordance with what was understood. I recommend having mobile internet available to use on-line translation services, which is helpful, but not a guarantee. Hotel restaurants are good quality, but extremely expensive. Breakfast was nice, especially its Chinese dishes, Western part was much more dull and usual. Swimming pools are in perfect condition (as for me, they were too shallow). And it is a pool with sea water, fishes and turtles, which is worthy to mention, and they organise aqualung diving there ;-) instead of open sea.
It could be mentioned that there is a duty-free shopping centre nearby where there are a number of good (maybe not very cheap) restaurants, which are twice cheaper than ones in the hotel.
