This castle is spectacular. You’re not just getting a bedroom, you’re getting access to magnificent hallways with tapestries, stained glass windows and armour. You can sit in the stunning music room, library, snug and other historic rooms. The views from the bedrooms are spectacular (ours overlooked the walled garden). The grounds are gorgeous, peaceful and full of cute rabbits. The complementary breakfast was delicious and even included haggis which was exciting for us foreign visitors.

Quiet nights, starry skies, countryside views in the morning. A walk around a field and a river at the bottom, all on your doorstep. Nicola was very nice and provided milk for the first evening. There was a microwave, which we used. It was an adventure, but two nights was enough for us.

Our host Nicola was very quick to attend to a couple of little issues we had as we didn't know how to use the tv or the cook top but Nicola was on the spot straight away and walked us through it. An excellent host. Highly recommend this place

We were looking a for a quiet place with an easy 10min drive that had Tescos and train station to Edinburgh. Fantastic. You have to take into account, it is a pod - it's cosy and lovely. Nicola, the host, was incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing was a bother. Highly recommend.
