Great location and lovely lodge with everything we needed. Hot tub was lovely once we got the hang of it! Make sure you take plenty of kindling, fire lighters and logs. Once we got it to temperature (took about 4 hours) it then was much quicker to get warm the following day and even stayed warm over night so we could go in the next morning.

The new landlord only took over this property recently and has good plans for the bedroom updating. But ours was warm and comfy. Ideal. This is a lovely old pub and the atmosphere was delightful. The dinner and breakfast was excellent...and good value. The staff perfect. We hope to stay again.

A welcoming pub, with friendly staff. Great food, loved the chicken, ham & leek pie, and huge portions, especially the breakfast. Some lovely old features e.g. stone stairs.

Very comfortable, spacious and cosy warm room, which was spotless. Our room was above the bar but we couldn't hear much noise from downstairs and it was a busy night. Good supply of tea and coffee and mini toiletries which were appreciated. The lady we met in the morning was really lovely and she provided us with tea and toast while our breakfasts were being cooked. Our breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Very relaxing start to the day. We had a great one-night stay and would definitely return.

The cottage was lovely it has just had a make over. It was not quite finished but the owner let me know this before we arrived. It did not impact on our stay. There was everything you needed to cater for yourselves if need be!
