It was my second time staying in clinknoord and it was lovely to see how they improvised overall facilities. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Living room and kitchen is amazing with plenty of seating area.. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They have added extra lockers on lobby area for bagagge storage. And laundry facitilites are available also with coins. They showed all matches during Fifa 2022. They have games and activities everyday. Safe and comfortable .Ferry was in 5 mins walk to Amsterdam station. I stay in female dorm with 4 beds and I had my own locker assigned as per bed number. You have to bring your padlock or you or else you can buy at reception. Evry bed has light and slot to charge mobile and a small shelve to keep stuff inside bed area.

If you feel like visiting the surroundings, check out Westerpark (950 metres) and Dam Square (1.6 km). The Haarlemmerstraat is 400 metres away and offers organic shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars.

We were relocated from YAYS Prince Island to YAYS Salthouse Canal because of some defect in the room we booked - in the end, this turned out to be an upgrade, for which we were very grateful. We had two fantastic rooms overlooking the canal. I have lived in Amsterdam for a year, but never felt as 'inside' the city as during these two nights at YAYS. Great interiors and design, a wonderful 17-18th century building decorated with taste. The staff were very helpful, the rooms well equipped. It's a good base for visiting Amsterdam, the are is quiet and calm, but has some nice places to eat and drink, and is within walking distance from Jordaan and the train station, which are the doors to the rest of the city.
