Beautiful period property set in a quiet secluded location beside the Grand Canal. Our room the Irlanda Suite was modern, clean and peaceful looking out toward a small romantic lake. Staff were friendly and helpful and professional. Food was just superb. We had an evening meal in the Mill House (Michelle was our server who was wonderful) and breakfast in the Orangery. Would highly recommend for a stay away from it all . Well done and thanks to all at Cliff at Lyons

Castletown Gate House was a lovely place to stay. It had all of the essentials for a comfortable stay while still maintaining its historical charm. The location is great: lovely walks in Castletown Park, 5 mins drive to the train station to go into the city centre (or regular buses), 1/2 hr drive to the Japanese Gardens/National Stud and much more besides.
