Set in a beautiful 16th-century Franciscan Convent on the outskirts of Santo Domingo de Silos, Hospederia Convento San Francisco offers stylish rooms with views of the surrounding countryside. It also features a restaurant.

This place is wonderful. Peace and tranquility at the least! A 15 minute walk to town and the Monastery de Silos. The breakfast was plentiful and homemade except the juices. Bed was comfy. We had 2 singles. The doubles are small ones. Wifi is fine in the WIFI salon but the thick walls and probably no additional hotspots does not get in into the rooms. But the wifi salon is very big and comfortable. Lots of interesting pictures of the difficult and tedious transformation from absolute ruin to a wonderful place to enjoy in this part of the country.

Offering a peaceful village setting, Hostal Santo Domingo de Silos features attractive, individually decorated rooms. Located in Santo Domingo de Silos, this guest house has a restaurant and a terrace.

The town of Santo Domingo de Silos is not all that big. This lodging is directly across the street for the church and cloisters which many people come to town to see. The building is probably modern but constructed to look older... and it fits in nicely with the general ambience of the town. There is a parking garage nearby which I wound up using (but I don't know if that was necessary as there were not any "crowds" during my stay") Room was clean and quiet and breakfast area resembles an old tavern.

The hostal was good, very clean. Bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. Dinner was also good, very simple. I didn’t stay for Breakfast. The hotel team were friendly enough, but may have been better if I spoke Spanish.

After a motorcycle ride from Santander it was great to arrive and have a beer outside in the square by this great hotel. The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and a view out onto the square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. Exceedingly quiet location opposite a massive working monastery and the village is approached down an amazing road which would put Cheddar Gorge to shame. Equally fantastic departure road particularly on a motorcycle.

Very good locations...yards from the Abbaye de Silos and Place de mayor. Excellent upgrade of a modest but beautiful room. "local restaurant-bar serves the hotel and the village...nice simple atmosphere. limited menu as you would expect but both food and service very pleasant. A relaxed local with a cosy, well finished room at a good price....the shift from Hostal to Hotel nicely done with a few finishing details still being learnt.

Charming medieval building, renovated with style. Our room was very small, but the price was accordingly (€ 63). Good breakfast. Good mattress. Very friendly staff.

This is a great location and parking is no problem. The village is very charming and there are some lovely cafés and restaurants. If you love walking then you are in the right spot. Go to the national park La Yelca and you can see some wonderful wildlife. Beautiful views and if you walk the route you come at a lovely restaurant who serves breakfast lunch and dinner. We just had a sandwich chicken it was absolutely delicious. Friendly people all around.

Great location in a small village. Perfect spot as we hiked in the area. The guy on reception was really accommodating and gave us the option of a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. (Which we took) The underground parking was cheap and secure.
