Friendly staff, well positioned to city centre A good budget accommodation. No on site parking, having to feed a parking meter up till 6pm Also the stairs up to the rooms are not much fun with luggage! No balcony or even a window, glass bricks instead

Very friendly staff and the location is in the heart of Hobart. Room is clean and sizable, bed is exceptionally comfy. Would be good if they have slippers in the room, the tile floor could get very cold.

All essentials for a good price. Comfortable bed, ensuite, proper sink in the room as well as the ensuite. Not much space! No parking. This was clearly stated, but the suggested arrangement did not work for us. Would recommend it for a business or 'backpacker' stay, but not for holiday with a car.

Within walking distance of city attractions eg Salamanca market Very noisy. Club over road with music and shouting until 5 am. Was told it was a lesbian club! Poor breakfast. Owner sitting watching T.v and no tables cleared after people had eaten. On 2nd floor up steep stairs with no lift. Would never stay here again. Very disappointing!

Not much ... after initial altercation with receptionist who tried to explain that I would have an extra 2% (!!) surcharge added to each of my 'card' entries, it all went down hill from there. Ill advice re parking ... no overnight unless on the street. Room booked was the room shown in your advertisement. Two chairs broken, hadn't been cleaned ... filled with dust, curtains filthy, bathroom like a cupboard and shower door broken. Breakfast 2 different cereals, milk & toast ... one day they had juice also. Instant tea/coffee ... extremely basic. No lift, but receptionist kindly carried my case up two floors.

The lady working there was lovely. The rooms had everything we needed albeit small but adequate The noise in the corridoors each morning was ridiculously loud and echoed into the rooms- particularly slamming doors- wonder if there is a way to put a stopper on the doors to minimise noise?

Good location, with easy walk down to Salamanca Place and harbour. Room was small but quiet, comfortable and clean On a main road in the CBD, but very little foot traffic and quiet dark as you walk back to the hotel late in the evening

The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the central location is a plus. Contrary to the hotel description, free wifi is not available in "all areas", only in the common areas near reception. Pointing this out, the owner took it very personally and started yelling at me. If I hadn't had paid for the room already, I'd have left on the spot. Having travelled extensively throughout the world, I've never experienced anything like it ever in my life!

The water was hot and the ac worked. Nothing else. This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in -certainly the poorest value for money. It started by the owner trying to charge me 1.5% on the credit card deposit payment that had been taken three months earlier. The room was dirty and minute -barely room to move between bed and wall. The blinds did not keep out the daylight in the morning. Glass blocks in the window frames so windows could not be opened. There was no lift and the stairs steep and dangerous. Breakfast was terrible with instant coffee. The WiFi did work in our room. The owners spent the whole time, during our stay, sorting out credit card slips in relation to making their tax return and complaining about their previous advisers to any guest who was prepared to listen. This so called luxury hotel spoilt what was otherwise a pleasant stay in Hobart.
