Breakfast a la carte, a lot of choices (western and asian)
Very attentive hosts. They didn't see my grandmother during the day and asked if she was okay. After they found out we had a sort of food poisoning, they offered to make us a light meal (congee) which was just what we needed
You can book several tours at the hotel
Nice and quiet place, not too far from all the scenic places

The staff were very warm and welcoming, they helped us book a taxi on a national holiday when we couldn't find one at all ourselves.
The location is perfect, beautiful views, a little outside yangshuo but very close to li river and countryside for biking /hiking.
The room was beautifully decorated but the amenities were not very good. Our main shower head was broken and only the small sprayer was working. When we raised this, we were told to just use the small one - really not ideal. Additionally, the room comes with a bath tub but they didn't have anything bathing products (bubble bath etc) which dampened the experience.

Amazing scenery. Definitely get out on a bike or electric scooter and go along the footpath next to the river.
The evening light show is amazing and definitely worth going to, but it is expensive and, be warned, nearly all the spectators (a few thousand of them) will be on their phones and talking very loudly throughout the whole performance.
West Street at night is worth seeing once. It is slightly tacky, but in a pretty way.
Silver cave is very pretty and you get a free headset in English (presumably other languages too). I can't believe that Reed Flute caves in Guilin are better, yet they are a lot more expensive.

Nice "little city" and a good base to see Xingping, the Silver Cave, Ruyi Peak and of course the cormorants (in Xingping). I'd love to have done Xianggong Hill. Most tourists do one of the two shows but I watched bits of the video and thought, not for me due to our limited time. I think 2 dinners in West Street might have added a bonus. Oh, try to get your Didi working.

I think Yangshou shines the best when you are trying off the beaten path things: climbing, caveing, trying local food (not just Kung Pao chicken, come on) and renting a scooter.
I'm genuinely impressed by the environment, people and abundance of culture of Yangshuo.
I tried a lot of local delicacies including oil tea 油茶,snail noodles 螺蛳粉 and beer fish. Definitely something you won't be able to try anywhere else. I liked first two, not the last one :)
I loved exploring surroundings via scooter, it is such a nice thing. And you have a chance to enjoy superb infrastructure of China. You won't believe me if I tell you that Yangshuo has highways with both motor- and bike- lanes. Simply amazing.
I recommend trying outdoor climbing and even caveing. There are many great spots (ask your hotel host, they should be able to tell you).
Come and enjoy.

For me, I went to Yangshuo for a relaxing getaway and that's just what I got. I don't know when the last time I have been this relaxed. I have friends who go there for rock-climbing and go a few times per year. The city is not very big so you don't need a lot of time going from place to place. I would advise to stay somewhere outside the city, like, within 5-6 kilometers and just rent a scooter. Actually, riding the scooter helped me get familiar with the city a lot better. And it's a form of meditation in and of itself, offering a bit of concentration as I got some sun on my face and cool wind in my hair.

Yangshuo is one of the prettiest parts of China in our opinion. The beauty of the Karst mountains is stunning and never bored us. The diversity of the mountains is a real treat for the eye. There are plenty of activities around like caving, climbing Moon hill, bamboo rafting the yulong river, exploring the environment on a rental scooter (¥30,- a day) or even helicopter and hot air balloon rides! Don't miss out on the local beer fish, a dish famous for a reason! Dine at Yangshuo Mountain retreat (the Brew) for the best tranquil dinner ever! Have lunch at 'Moon Hill restaurant' before or after climbing the mountain. The restaurant is located right next to the entry of the hill. Amazing view while eating local food. Take a few hours to visit the cable car, glass bridge and view platform of Ruyi park, lovely as well.

Yangshuo is located in the midst of a beautiful and tropical karst Mountain landscape and there are plenty of attractions ranging from caves to cable cars and tea plantations around, but the town itself is highly commercialised and most businesses cater to domestic package tourists.
Demi is a superb host. Unbelievably accommodating and flexible. We arrived late and she ensured that the kitchen remained open for us to eat, and she was flexible with our check out time to allow us to get one final hike in. The food was excellent and the rooftop restaurant was perfect was breakfast, so calm and relaxing. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has a wonderful family feel to it and we enjoyed chatting with Demi and playing with her baby daughter.
excellent location to explore YangShuo. What really made our trip special was how helpful the staff was to help us plan our holiday in Yangshuo. Nothing was too much to ask. The staff helped us to organise taxis, lessons in Tea Tasting/chinese painting with minimum notice. They also helped us with payment to other providers when the payment method did not work.
Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay again
Yangshuo Village Inn is not fancy but it had everything we need. The staff were very kind and professional. They were willing to help us with travel tips and suggestions and did not try to make profits out of it. The food was great and good value. We brought wine and they set the wine glasses without charge. The building and the facilities are very well maintained. Our favorite was their bikes that we could rent for free.
Fantastic location and Xiao Bai was super helpful with arranging the transport for our group, giving tips etc. Yulong river is just around the corner - you can use bikes from the hotel for free, we had a very pleasant bike ride along the river, and a walk on another day. There are few cafes, snacks places around the hotel and along the river. You can also have a ride on bamboo raft! Yangshuo town just a short taxi ride
Quiet and peaceful location with the perfect hosts. The food was exceptional and they accommodated a gluten free diet (celiac). It was mine and my husband’s first Christmas in China and Alita and her husband and their staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We really enjoyed our holiday, exploring Yangshuo and soaking up the breathtaking countryside, and we are looking forward to returning!
The hotel was great. The stuff and room wete exceptional. Shelly was very polite and helpful, she helped us find a way to get to Xingping town easier than any website will tell you. The views from the hotel were astonishing and breathtaking. The location was a bit far from all the activities in the city, on the other side of the river, but nothing DiDi can handle.
Friendliest hotel staff I have ever experienced. When there was a problem with the room on the last night, they gave us a free room. Excellent location outside the busy and noisy city of Yangshuo, ideal spot to explore Yulong River and the villages in either direction. You can rent an e-scooter/bike from the property for a very good price.
location perfect by the river in mountain with amazing view and also close by west street. service was great, we stayed off season and only guests in hotel was amazing having all place to ourselves, peaceful but didn’t affect service even a bit everything was outstanding, everyone was very helpful and friendly, clean and nice breakfast.
Hotel was beautiful and well placed near the river. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They speak good English and helped us to book a tour with local driver and also book our bus to Longji. They coordinated everything and it wouldn’t be an awesome stay without their help. Highly recommended this place to all the foreigners.
Very good hotel outside of Yangshuo City. The service is always there to help you and arrange everything you need. The food in the hotel restaurant was also good. There are a few menus to choose for breakfast and a lot of dishes for dinner. Both times you can choose between western and local meals.
The location of this hotel is great, right along the river where you can swim even! The room was well decorated and the food in the restaurant was good too, loved their beer fish! They helped us rent bikes for the day too, and we found the prices for that fair with what other places charged.
Love this place. The manager, Stone, was super nice and helpful and made our stay so much fun and easy. the location is great, it is not in the center (very close), but so much better because it surrounded by the beautiful nature of Yangshuo. The view from the rooms is amazing.
The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, the staff was really helpful and friendly, the food was outstanding, btw best vegan burger I’ve ever had :) My room was on the third floor with the view on mountains and I enjoyed the sunrise. Definitely recommend this hotel👍
We loved the view on the court and the iconic karst mountain of Yangshuo and the swimming pool. It is also possible to rent e-bike for 40 Yuan, directly to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good but more Chinese style than western.
A friend recommended this hotel to us, and the room was spacious and clean. The staff speak very good English, and we had lots of pleasant conversations. We also tried the dinner at the hotel restaurant, it tasted perfect.
Secret Garden Yangshuo, Jiuxian Village, is a wonderful place near the dragon river and moon bridge. Great menu and staff are super friendly and kind. Can arrange pickup from airport or station for a reasonable fee!
Amazing location next to the river and not far from the village. The room was perfect down to the details. The food at the restaurant was one of our best meals in China. Staff were genuinely polite and helpful.
beautiful small and cute hotel in a good location near Yangshuo town. it’s our 3th time here. Quite with amazing views. the staff is nice and helpful. everything in Tea Cozy is simple oerfect.
