Family run, room only guest accommodation situated in the centre of Windermere a few minutes walk from the cafes shops & restaurants, many independent traders. We take pride in our warm, Friendly welcome, offering good accommodation at reasonable rates, our aim is to give our guests that 'home from home' feel. A pleasant 15/20 minute walk to beautiful Lake Windermere, where you can take one of the many lake cruises. We do not have a car park, there is on road free/safe parking & a pay & display 2 minutes away that is very reasonable. No stag or hen parties. we no longer offer breakfast service at Cambridge House - as we are situated in the centre of an area offering many places to eat - we have moved to a room only basis - the same high standards will be in place and complimentary drinks and snacks in the room.

Dave and myself have owned Cambridge House since 2004. Dave is from Liverpool and I am from Birmingham, we fell in love with the Lake District and decided to move here. We are enthusiastic walkers, and have done most of the walks in the area, we are available on WhatsApp for help and advise on walks and places to visit, we will still be available to offer help and hopefully make your stay with us a memorable one. We have all been through very challenging times and with this in mind we have altered our business slightly - we are no longer offering breakfasts service.

Windermere is the perfect Lakeland destination all year round. With the shores of the lake so close, you are never short of fantastic scenery or leisure activities. Several local viewpoints offer panoramic views of both the lake and more distant mountains - Windermere is a beautiful Lakeland village, with a train station and coach station and only 20 minutes from the M6 - its a great base from which to explore the lakes - its a working village and offers a great base - its a busy village bustling and vibrant
