Glencoe Apartments offer self-catering holiday accommodation in the West Cliff area of Whitby. Whitby beach, pier and lighthouse are all very close by and Whitby Abbey and Whitby's historic east side are only a short walk away. Free WiFi is available. All apartments feature a flat-screen smart TV as well as a seating area and a dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen in all apartments and the bathroom in each apartment either has a bathtub or a shower. All apartments have a hairdryer and ironing facilities. Linen and towels are provided. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings including golf and fishing. The beautiful villages of the North Yorkshire coast, Esk Valley and the picturesque North York Moors are in within easy reach.
Whitby attracts visitors from around the globe because of the wonderful mixture of coastal and countryisde scenery, maritime heritage, ancient history and proximity to a wide array of nearby attractions such as the North York Moors Steam Railway, historic York and Heartbeat Country. Whitby is the jewel in the crown of the North Yorkshire Coast. Nestled between the tall cliffs at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby has been inhabited since around 656AD. Nearly 1500 years of continuous habitation surely shows that there's something to the Whitby area which continues to draw people in and offer them something they don't find anywhere else! From the dramatic position of the famous Whitby Abbey ruins on the East Cliff, to the magnificence of the sandy beach running 3 miles up the coast to Sandsend, no-one can say that our portion of coastline isn't beautifully rugged.
