Milton House Self Catering Studio Apartments Askrigg a family run early Victorian guest house with private on site parking. There are two Studio Apartments with a kitchenette/dining area, comfy settee, a separate bedroom with En-suite shower facilities.A welcome breakfast basket is included. Here in Askrigg we’re a little bit hidden and that’s just how we like it. Our claim to fame is that our little village starred in the original hit BBC series All Creatures Great and Small which celebrated the work of James Herriot - very fitting given our location is right at the heart of Herriot Country! The new series of All Creatures Great and Small was also filmed in the Yorkshire Dales, some filming took place locally at The Green Dragon Inn at Hawdraw. There are 3 pubs in the Village serving food at lunch time and evenings The Crown Inn which is just over the road also do hot take out home cooked meals. The Kings Arms which was featured as The Drovers Pub in the original series of All Creatures Great and Small and has retained many original features . The Middle House Hotel has an cosy bar and a Conservatory restaurant overlooking the Garden . We are fortunate to have a fabulous local deli The Bake Well , they sell all manner of pies quiches salads and home cooked take away meals. There is a lovely local craft gift shop. We might be biased but we really do think that Askrigg is the perfect place to base your stay in the Yorkshire Dales. We give our guests so many tips they’re often soon back to see us to fit in more of our local sights! Hope to see you soon Jo
Milton House B&B Self Catering Studio Suites Askrigg. We have a village shop , a Deli selling take away meals and cakes and three cosy Pubs and Restaurants all a short stroll from our property. Private on site parking and lockable garage for cycles or motor bikes. There are some fabulous walks nearby local waterfalls. Askrigg is a popular base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with the Herriot trail , Lady ann way and Pennine way popular walks with our guests.
