Jasmine Panoramic View is a recently renovated traditional mansion inside the medieval town of Ano Syros, with breathtaking 270 degree views towards the sparkling Aegean and as far as the islands of Naxos and Donoussa! The owner has taken great care to preserve the originality of the place and to stay true to the old Cyclades... you will feel like you are living in a beautiful old-style museum, awaking to astonishing views every day! The property is a second-floor apartment located a stone's throw away from the vibrant main street in Ano Syros. It includes a private balcony, a spacious living room with a traditional wood stove, a master bedroom with a king size bed (with a sea view), a dining room/office, a spacious bathroom with a modern overhead shower and separate WC. It also has a separate fully equipped kitchen (with mountain views) and in which you will find local organic products to prepare your meals. The bedroom and living room have large ceiling fans to keep the summers cool and to preserve the originality of the place. Recently renovated in 2021, the owner has taken great care to preserve antique furniture and vintage electrical appliances, in order to re-create a feeling of the authentic Cycladic living of the past. All colours, furnishings and decorations have been lovingly selected and presented in this home. Together with the expansive blue Aegean lying at your feet, you will feel like you're staying in a very beautiful and unique place every day!

The house is less than a minute's walk to Markos Bambakaris square (which is dedicated to the legendary musician of the Greek blues) and also very close to a bright array of interesting shops, great cocktail bars, local taverns and the best 'souvlaki' bar in Syros. Although the apartment is close to all of these amenities, the house is located slightly away from all the hustle and bustle as it is on a small alley leading upwards from the main street. Generally, it is very quiet and you cannot hear any traffic noise. Sometimes, from the balcony you can hear a bit of jazz music coming from the closest restaurant from the main street, but this place usually closes by 11 or 12pm (and is open during the summer season only). There are hiking trails into the mountains from the back of Ano Syros that are easily accessible by walking just a few more minutes upwards from our house. In April and May, the hillsides are bursting in bloom, full of sage, thyme, oregano, poppies, and other wonderfully fragrant and colourful species. The mountains offer even more spectacular views towards the sea and Ermoupoli and are a wonderful way to work off all those calories from tavernas and souvlaki! Getting around The house is very conveniently located, only 3-4 minutes' walking distance from Kamara (the main "Gate" entrance in Ano Syros). You can park your car at Kamara. If you do not have a car, there are free and frequent local buses that depart from the port of Ermoupoli (downtown) and arrive at Kamara (around 15 min). Taxi to Kamara from Ermoupoli costs around 4 to 5 euros. Alternatively, it is only a 15-20 minute walk from the port of Ermoupoli to the house, although this is mostly straight up along the marble stairs.
