I am a chefpreneur and fundraising strategist, living between Kilifi and Cape Town, where I attend culinary school. I curate immersive pop-up dinners, named halwaridi, in the home listed here. Sharing this home is a special sharing of self. I love to cook—obviously—and eat out, and to travel, seeking art and history. I most enjoy exploring the cuisines of Africa. I love meeting new people and sharing Kilifi with strangers that become friends.

Your friend group will be comfortable in this spacious and serene space. Kick back in this large bedroom in a cozy 125-year old Swahili-styled seaside cottage, sat in 3 acres of forest. Catch glimpses of the Indian Ocean and spectacular sunrises to the east. This private bedroom is a tranquil getaway for individuals, couples and friend or family groups; a needed escape from the capitalist grind, to unwind and reset. We prefer, encourage, and highly discount long-term stays.

We are located in a large-scale sisal and livestock farm, Kilifi Plantations, which is safe and scenic to walk, run, and cycle around, and, also, home to The Food Movement (a food and art community and destination); the Express Shop (for groceries, liquor, and hygiene supplies); Beneath the Baobabs (home to a year-long festival calendar and Twisted Fig Restaurant); Kivukoni School (arguably the best international school on Kenya’s Coast); Creek Club (for swimming); and Takaungu Creek (a stunning sandy channel hosting an enchanting show of bi-directional tidal currents moving inland and back to the ocean through the day).
