Ars Vivendi Rezidence stands out because right in the middle of Old Riga's Dome Square. The interior design combines modern comfort with the area's rich historical ambiance.

Neighbourhood information

Ars Vivendi Rezidence is located in Old Riga. This is where most of you will start your exploration of Riga. Be it day or night this is one of the busiest areas of the city and the one to offer the most from history, architecture, culinary experiences and nightlife. In 1997, Riga's historic center was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Riga was established in 1201 by Bishop Albert, and was granted city status in 1225. Even though local Liiv tribes inhabited in this marshy territory on the banks of the Daugava River, the city's history is associated with Germanic and Christian cultures. In 1282, Riga became a member of the Hanseatic League, strengthening its position as an important trading city in the region. Now most buildings in Old Town have the status of cultural heritage landmarks. Most important site to visit are: Monument of Freedom, Riga Dome Cathedral and it's square, St Peter's Church tower, St Jacob's Church, The House of the Blackheads, Riga Castle, The National Opera amongst others.
