Originally, I was looking at this as a stop on the way home. Then a friend suggested some events we could see locally so I ended up booking 4 nights. I hadnt considered the "Wellness spa" aspect but it did mean that it had an indoor pool which we used several times. The room was lovely. Although I was a bit bemused by the bathroom having a glass door. It had a balcony which gave us some great views over the local countryside. Food was great. We tended to go for the set menu options as we found them just right for us. Location meant it was away from noise and traffic. Very restful.

Guests can enjoy a range of relaxing treatments in the spa including massages and facials. Classic international cuisine and regional dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal produce are served in the restaurant. The hotel benefits from an intimate sun terrace at the front and a spacious terrace at the back which boasts panoramic views.
Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.5 for a two-person trip.
