PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: A very large house that enjoys spectacular wide views of the surrounding valley and mountainous landscape. The house has been divided up into separate apartments, each available individually for short term stays. The MRAA unit is the located on the top floor of the house, comprising of 3 beds 2 baths and is 300m2 internal size. The MRMB unit is located on the second floor second floor of the house, comprising of 2.5 beds 2 baths and is 100m2 internal size. The MRLA unit is located on the second floor of the house, comprising 1 bed 1 bath and is 50m2 internal size. All units have a private deck space to enjoy the 280 degrees of northeast-facing views from, which are truly breath-taking and spectacular. High speed WiFi with backup power. Excellent security. Smart TVs with Netflix. Communal facilities are a large sparkling blue pool, an outside built-in braai area, 2 firepits (the bbq facilities booked on a first come, first serve basis) and a large landscaped garden. Secure parking on the property. All the apartments are self-catering and are not serviced during your stay, unless arranged in advance at an additional cost. A refundable security deposit applies at our discretion to be paid by either EFT or credit card. This deposit amount is negotiable if you have a positive profile and guest history. The deposit is refundable on the same day as your checkout if there are no damages, breakages or contraventions of House Rules.

BOOKING CONDITIONS: We will please require the following from you prior to check in:- 1. A signed copy of our booking form, detailing our terms and conditions applicable to your booking. 2. A copy of your Identity document to us by Whatsapp or Email, for verification purposes. 3. A refundable security deposit is to be paid by either EFT or credit card. This deposit amount is potentially negotiable at our sole discretion. ADDITIONAL HOUSE RULES: Contravention of the House Rules will attract a penalty. 1. No parties or unauthorized events. No braais or get-togethers with people joining that are not part of your booked group, without upfront written permission. 2. Strictly no pets allowed without upfront permission from the hosts. 3. Quiet time from 9pm. There are 3 other rental units on the property with guests that expect peace and quiet. 4. Only those booked for are permitted to be at the property. No outside day or night visitors permitted. 5. Strict non-smoking policy INSIDE the property. 6. Leave the place in a clean condition. The cleaning fee we charge is not an excuse to leave it in a state.

Hout Bay is a multi-cultural, multi-national suburb. There are more than 5 000 households. We have 3 distinct areas, each worlds’ apart, yet we as a community try our best to embrace the gap and integrate as a united community. The gap is widened by so many factors it’s not worth getting into here, however we bond on the most natural level possible – humanity. Hout Bay is very popular with foreigners whom are affectionally called “swallows”, mostly German, some British, French and other nationalities. They live abroad for 9 months of the year, and come to rest in Hout Bay for the summer months, usually December / January / February. What will likely strike you about Hout Bay, is the sense of community. Everyone is friends with everybody. There is a great sense of fighting for the benefit of the community, a volunteer spirit that rises amongst the valley’s residents whenever necessary, and a sense of comradery.
