We were thrilled with our room, and the chance to stay in a historic (but updated) building. It was pretty empty being during the week right after New Year.We loved the opportunity to stay in a historic building. The room was huge and the internet lightning fast. Normally we would have hit the pub, but our family had been hit by a bad cold so we stayed in, and were really comfy.

The room was nice, we received an SMS telling us the cleaner could not find the TV remote, it was sitting on the bed, I'm not sure if she did any cleaning at all

The fireplace, the staff, especially Caren, and the food! Carin welcomed us after a long day of driving in the rain. She was kind and very attentive. The fire warmed us nicely and the Sunday dinner was AMAZING! We had dinner several hours later with wonderful drinks and delicious food once again. Will recommend to friends. Easy access to Edinburgh Airport in a lovely town.

Lovely friendly happy and helpful staff. Easy 10 ~15 min walk to the train station for the 20 min train ride into the centre of Edinburgh. Large selection of beers and food choices for dinner breakfast consisted a hot meal.. Room and beds comfy shower was lovely and hot with average water pressure but did the job. Ideal location for easy access to Edinburgh for day trip sight seeing without all the hustle and bustle of actually staying in Edinburgh. Would definitely stay again.

The property is well situated on the main road and an easy walk to Linlithgow Palace. Plenty of car parking. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Clean rooms, extensive dinner menu and a good choice for breakfast too. We stayed there on our way to the NC500 and would recommend it for an overnight stay.

Very kind staff, lovely room, very clean. Delicious dinner, breakfast choice a bit limited for people who don't like spicy stuff (we prefer sweet). But otherwise everything perfect and enjoyable!

Nice location, great food. Always a bit of space for us to have lunch or dinner. The room is well kept with sufficient space for two, a nice table. Shower temperature and flow is very reliable.
