What a cozy little find this place was. There were lots of features from the original coaching inn and you really could enjoy the history of the place. Our room was big and well-appointed with all mod cons and immaculately clean. The room we were allocated was on the ground floor, as we had specifically requested and our late check in was easily accommodated. There was separate main entrance for our rooms so we were not disturbed in any way by the pub, but it was a nice old untied village pub with real ales and local ciders so we wouldn't have minded anyway. The room was very warm with traditional central heating we are used to at home so we could have it as warm as we liked (and we like it warm!). The food was amazing and the prices very good indeed. We had fresh hake with vegetables in a lovely sauce and the roast lunch with all the trimmings was superb. They even make their own bread. What made the experience exceptional was the staff - they could not do enough for us and were attentive to even the smallest request. We will definitely be returning.

Very comfortable, well equipped apartment, in the grounds of a beautifully appointed Inn/restaurant. Views from the property are spectacular. High quality food that caters equally well for vegetarians and meat-eaters.

Location. New local owners took over in January and the decor is very tasteful. Rooms in the annex were ideal and good value. Dinner and breakfast ( extra cost) were excellent.

The staff were excellent. Really responsive and accommodating when I asked about an early check in as we were attending a lunch event in the Inn. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfy and clean and the food was fabulous.

We stayed as we could have our dog. The room was really clean with mod cons and nice touch like RNLI sponsored water, lovely soaps and even some doggie treats, basket and clean dog bowls. The host was so lovely and shes an amazing cook (homemade pies for dinner and breakfast were top-notch).

The bedroom and bathroom were absolutely amazing and extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and had a lovely friendly dog. Unfortunately the let down of this stay was the outside of the property, there is no sign in the car park, the garden and stairs could do with a some TLC. Not much choice of menu for dinner. Thankfully the room was lovely.
