How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I was given a twin and I ordered a king, I accepted because they ran out of rooms apparently and I asked for a complimentary breakfast in return for my understanding and I was refused. Also, The checking line was long and it was over 20 minutes waiting, Staff were friendly and helpful especially concierge chaps.

Staff don’t speak English well, cleaning is fair not great, facilities poorly looked after / low budget for maintenance.
Incredible value for money, all the makings of a 5star hotel.

The entire hotel lacks a bit of maintenance and looks dated. The upholsiery and furniture are old and could do with a good freshen up and good scrub. The architecture is nice but feels dated and could be cleaner. The breakfast was OK. Good variety, but not very good quality of products.
The room was nice and spacious. It does feel "tired" same as the rest of the hotel, but it was built with quality materials and still holds. Nice bed, nice toilet.

I could not stay longer and experience all amenities at the hotel
When traveling with toddler it's very stressful experience . The hotel staff and management made it easy with providing crib , extending our check out way beyond the hour and helping bringing breakfast to the room when it should be at the restaurant. Thank you for the exceptional service .

It requires more attention to cleaning, and the TV is not working. Despite my calls, nobody has bothered to come and fix it.

The condition of the furniture and carpet walls needs to repaint carpet in the rooms and between the rooms needs to be changed bathrooms needs renovation moulds on the shower area

Few important things in the room needed to be fixed and were old fashioned and lacked maintenance but the friendliness and cooperation of the staff more than made up for the same. Enjoyed our stay very much, overall the place is great for a leisure holiday.

The water pressure in the bathroom was very slow, the lights in the room were mostly yellow and the TV was outdated

I didn’t understand how the light system in the hotel worked because I tried to turn on all the lamps, but it didn’t work because there was a strange control system. The TV remote control accepted the pressing command if you pressed the buttons very hard and held the remote control at a certain angle. I couldn't turn on the water hot enough in the shower or bath. That is, with the warmth that was there it was impossible to take a bath. This was the most expensive hotel I've tried in Abu Dhabi, but it turned out to be the worst of all the ones I booked
Quite large rooms, large bathroom, easy access to the city center by taxi, you can always find a taxi at the main exit

No supermarket nearby. The park near the hotel was great, but really hard to get to, because it has few entrances and in the opposite direction so you have to walk a little although it's just there. To get out (without turning back) we jumped a fence.
The staff. Walking distance to the Grand Mosque. Bus stop nearby (to Grand Mosque, to the beach, to every atraction and to the airport). Great breakfast. Dance club by the pool in the weekend. KFC at the corner of the hotel. The big park in front.

The Sauna wasn't functional and jacuzzi is not available for in house guests, needs to be purchased separately.
